I hosted a bridal spa party at Tranquility. The management could not have been more helpful. There were several months of planning with many calls and e mails. Not only were all my calls efficiently returned, but they went over and beyond offering to help make the day special. The bridal party loved the pampering and the professional treatment they received. As a hostess, I appreciated all the details that were taken care of for me... and to top it off, they brought in fresh flowers for the food table. I would definitely recommend this spa to others. more

I don't get it! I went to this place like 3 yrs. ago and was completely dissapointed when I left. The haircut I got was O.K. but I could have spent alot less money and got just as good of a cut somewhere else. In fact, this person just got out of school!! I expected far, far more. I heard the place had a new management set-up. I go back 3 yrs. later and it was awful still. The front desk didn't acknowledge I was standing there, they just looked at me. So rude. Some tall, bald guy finally said "checkin in". I felt like I was in a hotel! Just as bad checking out. No "thank-you, come again", nothing. What a waste of time and money. How can a place be there that long and give such poor treatment to the public? The music was loud and overbearing too. Tranquility is an expensive looking trap-don't fall in it! I was in this past tuesday, on time for my appointment. The spa personell appeared to be in a meeting. The front desk girl went to tell them about 4 of us have been waiting 20 minutes for our appointments. The two managers a man and a woman just looked at the girl like she was stupid and that she shouldn't be bothering them. I got back to my appointment 35 minutes LATE. I wont be back if this is how they treat their employees and paying customers. Cons: poor customer service and bad management more

I recently was in Winston-Salem on business, I frequently visit spas when I am out of town and thought I'd give Tranquility a try. By far, this was the worst experience at a spa I have ever had in my life. When I booked my appointment, the staff seemed confused and impatient -- not exactly what I'm use to. Upon arriving I found the spa to be beautiful and exquitely decorated, unfortunately this was the only thing going for the place. Again, the front desk was rude and unappreciative of my business. I had choosen to have a facial and a massage. The massage was ok, nothing spectacular, however the facial was the most incomplete fasade of a facial I have ever encountered. If you are in true need of a real facial, avoid this place at all cost. The aesthetician was completely unknowledgeable of skin care, product ingredients, or basically anything else I asked -- not sure where they got this one. The product lines they offer are basically nothing more than what you can buy at your local drugstore. If you just want to pay for foo-foo then Tranquility is the place. I was told this place was here for years so I gave it a try on my birthday. The front desk was a wreck and didn't know who was comming or going and I doubt new anything about caring for their customers. I could have better/cleaner services at digits accross the street. I scheduled an appointment for some freinds and I. First of all the people on the phone are rushed and rude. I still went through with the appointment. It was booked wrong and when I got there, they were still rude!!!! Not to mention, the nail area was so filthy and needed disinfected. I will be sure to tell all not to go here. Tranquility Salon & Day Spa, without a doubt, is the most beautiful salon and day spa I have ever seen. The architecture, fountains and furnishings are remarkable. Above and beyond the beauty is the professional, courteous and knowledgable staff and service providers. The team knows what they are doing and completely understands and implements customer service, stylish work and hospitality. I was also amazed at the product selection and the knowledge that the customer service representatives had of all products. My female friends are finally satisfied to find a beautiful and friendly location to purchase Jane Iredell. I highly recommend Tranquility to everyone. more

Upon calling to book my appt. i was placed on hold for far too long. I finally booked my appointment. When I arrived, I was checked in, only to be told by my service provider that they had not been told I had arrived. I was left waiting for .45 mins. The service was o.k. but my girl was right out of school and lacked the knowledge and professionalisom of someone in the business for longer than 6mos!
