I ordered a messenger bag 8/2/10. Today is 9/28. I have called and emailed several times, no one returns my calls. They robbed me and I would be wary of ordering from them. more

I ordered 2 figures for my 10 year old son on Dec. 4. They never arrived by Christmas. I sent e-mails twice. Neither of which was replied to. I finally called a month after Christmas, spent 30 minutes on hold, and was told the toys were still in Japan but would arrive within the week. My son ordered a toy on Dec. 16. It has now been months and the toy has not yet arrived. But they sure were quick to bill my credit card!!!!!!!!! We will never order from this place again. And we tell everyone who is interested to avoid this place also. WHAT A RIPOFF!!!!!! more

My brother loves going to Toys N Joys for the latest games and toys available. They are a small, well-run company with a good selection on cards and other collectibles. They also sell a lot of japanese anime products - models, posters, stuff animals, etc. It is probably one of the few ones on the island selling a combination of american and japanese items. So if you're looking for something in particular, give Toys N Joys a shot. more

Although the place is small and the items are crowded in the store, the always manage to get the latest toys my sons are looking for. I am always able to find the complete set of the latest Power Rangers at the store. The Christmas I was able to buy the entire set of Mystic Force Power Rangers while the other stores had them alll sold out or were missing certain rangers. The staff is always friendly and even gave me a discount of 10% off this season. I'm not sure if it was just for the holiday or buying a lot but that was an added bonuse. They also carry the latest in video games and this year my husband was one of the first people to get the much coveted Soccum 3 when it came out because the employee really did keep to his word and called him as soon as the game came in. I'd say the store always carries the latest of games, cards, and popular toys, though not many toys as the name states. more

Its a kind of shady store and contains a lot of video games and its more of a video game shop than anyhting else. If you like that kind of shop I say go, but personally it is not my thing to shop in such a place. just one of those places. more

These guys are not the cheapest, but they have all of the latest in electronic games. We go there to see what the newest gadgets and games are for our kids, relatives and friends. The guys that they hire are all hard core gamers and they know their stuff. Two locations, one in Kaimuki and one in Westridge. more

Toys N Joys has been around for over a decade. Here is the store to head to when you need to find a unique toy for a boy or girl. They specialize in hard to find toys, remember the Power Ranger craze? or the Tamagotchi? They always managed to have that hard to find toy that every kid (young or old :) just had to have. Many of the items they have include import items from Japan and China these include the very complex highly articulated Manga style dolls. Parking is a bit out of the way, but this is one store you actually don't mind walking a bit to get to. more

If you like videogames, this is your store. Forget those national chains who clutter malls with their overpriced games and get your fill at this small store, crowded with all things videogames (PS2, Xbox, DS, PSP, etc...and even the Japanese versions of them). When it's busy, it's borderline fire code violation in the store because it's hard to get around--and with good reason. They have the best selection of games (both new and used) and accessories on the island. And if you're so inclined (and have the ability to understand them--not to mention the financial resources) they even do special orders for Japanese games that may or may not make it to these shores. Oh and did I mention they sell toys too? That is what they originally started off selling (a very Japanese/Anime-oriented store though nowadays). But stay away from their Anime dvd sets...as their origin (being Hong Kong and/or Taiwan) is questionable at best. more
