I'm not even sure where to begin as I had so many MAJOR issues while living at the Promenade. First, I do want to say that the aparments themselves and the grounds are quite beautiful - very luxurious. I was immediately sold on the beauty of the building and its facilities. Though first impressions can often be very deceiving,. Please don't be fooled by the inital feeling of glitz and glamour. The Promenade is far from glitzy and glamorous . Anybody who raves about this place in my opinion either lives in a plastic bubble or is somehow affiliated with the property.\r
The Promenade markets the apartments as having beautiful hardwood floors. When I toured my apartment for the first time, the bare hardwood floors were a big selling point. Yet, no one ever mentioned that 80% of the flooring must be carpeted with padding. If you look at the pictures in the marketing materials, no where near 80% of the hardwood floors are carpeted. To me this is called misrepresentation.....It all came me to light when the leasing office started harassing me due to complaints from the people below that I was supposedly heavy footed (come to find out, the 80% carpet rule is referenced in fine print in the lease). Even after complying with the terms of the lease and covering 80% of the floor with padded carpeting, I was still harassed by the leasing office regarding complaints of my so called heavy walking. (I only weigh about 100 pounds soaking wet and was the only tenant in the apartment, not to mention I made a special point of walking around my home barefoot so as to try and keep the peace).\r
Sadly, the unwarranted complaints continued and things escalated to the point where I no longer felt comfortable living in my apartment. I felt as if my right as a tenant to be able to have peaceful and quiet enjoyment of my home was stripped from me. How could I possibly continue to live in an apartment where I was constantly worried about getting a phone call or threatening emails from the leasing office or worse yet a knock on my door from security (which happened numerous times) regarding the meritless complaints''''' The IRONY was that I continued to be harassed by the leasing office regarding my so called stomping even after I had no longer been living in my apartment. . I was sickened that I had to continue to pay rent for an apartment, where I clearly could not live. It became solely a storage space. One word sums these people up: INCOMPETENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\r
Another big issue: The Promenade touts itself as being a high end luxury rental complex, which was not what I experienced while living there. There is a certain element of people that tend to congregate in the common areas of the building (common areas that people who enter through the front entrance of the building are exposed to). There is no better way to describe these people other than low life trash. They are loud, obnoxious, use foul language, make very inappropriate comments to people walking through the common areas, etc. Their behavior is clearly inappropriate and they are a terrible representation of the Promenade. Where these people are coming from is a very big question''''' In the very little amount of time that I did spend in my apartment, I was actually embarrassed to invite people to visit me. It was very unsettling and certainly isn't a place where people are able to feel safe and secure - SAD BUT TRUE. At times I felt as if I was in a low income housing project.\r
In addition to living in a beautiful space at a ""supposed"" luxury apartment complex, one expects to feel safe and secure, have amenities that can be enjoyed and to be able to receive professional, courteous and competent service - NOT THE CASE AT THE PROMENADE!\r
How a business can possibly be run in such a manner is beyond me!!!!!!!!!!!!\r
My advice would be to stay far far away from this place.\r
