After a rough first few months - fire alarms testing and going off at awful hours - and some needed management changes, Towson Promenade - which I moved into in September of 2009 got its feet under it.\r
\r
All around me I saw new neighbors spring up - and become friends. While their first summer of having the pool was a disaster - too many people who weren't residents using the facilities - an ownership change from builder Hanover Co. to UDR Property Management let the place finally have one voice to respond to.\r
\r
But new ownership smartly kept the well-trained, superb maintenance staff and the good employees from Hanover days and this move paid off.\r
\r
Hanover Company built a truly exceptional property with condo-quality amenities including nice ceiling fans, stainless steel appliances, adjustable track lighting granite countertops and a beautiful stone shower.\r
\r
You can tell the difference when a company really wants to make a great place. Hanover Co. did so. My closet wasn't in the bedroom but it was a walk-in next to the room - built loft-style by the way. \r
\r
This meant I had an extra wall to put in dressers. While I heard some loud neighbors stomping above me a little bit, mostly it was so quiet and nice to come home.\r
\r
The gym is top-quality and several notable professional athletes, including one college championship MVP, regularly used the facility.\r
\r
I left because of geography reasons, but parting was bittersweet. I left behind friends and a great place to live, and an espresso machine and pool table in the main amenities area.\r
\r
I'm glad I lived here and would recommend the community to anyone who would like to live in Towson.
