Hello, my name is James and I just wanted to share my Tools for Life experience with you because one of the most powerful and valuable tools to help educate people are personal stories of those who have been triumphant in overcoming a substance or alcohol addiction. I began with Tools for Life approximately 5yrs ago, at that time I thought that I was ready to succeed with this program. However, I thought I could just continue to drink and play the game of Tools for Life. However, I was the one who in all actuality was getting played on, by my own hand. After spending almost 1yr incarcerated due to my alcoholism, I realized that I needed to make a drastic change, because of my bad choices I had lost my job, house, wife and driving priveleges. I was dependant upon others to take me to Job interviews, my classes at Tools for life, the grocery store, etc. Which was not fun, depending on others to do something for me because I was so independant.
