So last week I got my hair cut by alleged ""curly hair specialist"" Debbie Watson at Tony Russos in Ellisville.
Not only am I disatisfied with the cut, I am appalled by her behaviour and the way they run their business.
I thought due to Debbie's internet advertisment of her ""experience"" and ""ability"" to cut hair that I would be satisfied with her service.
She cut the bottom layer of my hair after I had told her not to cut it, and left the middle part long, too long, like david bowie from the labyrinth.
Her cut was so innacurate that I should have known it would be terrible as she was cutting it. She did not use a comb to
ensure accuacy or evenness, she was so lazy that she could not even wet my hair to comb it through to see that she left it a jagged uneven mess.
I discovered this after I got home and had rinsed it myself.
I came in 2 hours later so she could fix the sloppy haircut (they initially wanted me to wait 5 days for the correction but I refused).
When I came in to get it fixed, she did nothing but ask me to point out the parts that I wasn't happy with..
I could not even rely on her to use her knowledge or skills to do the job she was trained to do.
I literally had to tell her what to do.
The correction cut ended when I was unable to see anything else wrong with it.
After I washed it I was shocked to still see the middle layer too long and parts of it still very uneven.
I was upset so I called the salon and talked to the receptionist, and I asked to speak with the manager.
She told me she was the manager. I explained my hair's condition and she told me Debbie would call me the next day.
When I spoke to Debbie, I explained that I was upset that my hair is uneven and too short on bottom compared to the rest.
I was assuming she would offer to fix it, like any salon respectable would, but instead she accused me of owing her money.
Apparently when she doesn't do a good job she feels she should be compensated for having to fix it due to her true lack of investment and skills.
I was told if I came into the salon to ask for a refund or a touchup that she would call the police.
I'm sure she just doesn't want her boss' to see the uneven joke of a haircut she gave me, or maybe she had already spent the money.
I am embarrased for this company, I was trying to tell them I would slander them on the internet but they kept hanging up
on me. They may have the money I paid for a terrible haircut, but the way they treated me over the phone also ensured
this review.
I am shocked, appaled, and embarrased for this company. Bottom line, don't go to Tony Russos.
It is a gamble especcially if you care about the look and condition of your hair. Debbie claims to be a specialist in curly
hair, but my hair is slightly wavy/curly and she couldn't even cut it properly. I'm sure if you have straight hair
she couldn't cut it either. Lazy? Inexperienced? Treats customers poorly? You get it all at Tony Russos.
