Great Place! 11/6/2011

My husband, daughter and I went there for lunch on Sunday. Although busy, this is one of the nicest restaurants in Georgetown. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants that serve the same things. Tony & Luigi's never disappoints me! There pasta and pizzas are always a hit. The risotto is worth the wait! But this time I tried the Stuffed Pljeskavica for the first time. The best way to describe the dish is a stuffed hamburger on a light flat bread! What a treat. While I do read many reviews, I rarely take the time to write many! But the friendly service and great meal made this review necessary. more

Wonderfull 10/26/2011

Went there with my co-workers for a late dinner two nights ago and fell in love. Best Italian fusion I've ever had. Place is owned by a Bosnian family who truly know how to make great food. Had the Schnitzel (I know what you're thinking, schnitzel in a Italian restaurant?) It was amazing, different then what I grew up on but good nonetheless. Finished with the Italian Cream Cake, I have no words, it was the right kind of sweet. Staff is great, atmosphere is wonderful and it is not overpriced. GO!!! You wont regret it. more

sorry ! 6/27/2011

can only give 3 stars as the bruschetta looked and tasted like salsa on bread and the marinara is bland. The pasta was cooked well and the service was quick. The menu is way too large to naviagate and seems to be all over the place. Stay away from the pizza and stick with the basics. The Honey Glazed Salmon with pineapple (hawaiian?) is the best thing I had there. Don't expect fancy plating, this is a standard home meal. more

what a wonderful place! 5/28/2011

My wife and i tried this place for the fist time. The menu is extensive! All the usual favorites plus much much more. I had the pork chops with rosemary potatoes and rice. The pork chops were extremely tender, the sides were cooked perfectly. My wife had the chicken marsala. she said it was the best she has had in many many years. The bread? wow, little puffs of heaven! We will be back, you should try too. more

Awesome place! 1/13/2011

I came here with friends and it did not disappoint. This place is gorgeous, with great service, good prices and quality food. It is a gourmet version of a home-cooked meal and the menu offers a variety of choices. It is an excellent place for an afternoon or evening out. We were all very pleased and will be back for more! more

Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food 1/12/2011

I have visited Tony & Luigi's three times and was impressed every visit. The dining room has a comfortable and inviting atmosphere with attractive photographs of Mediterranean areas. We were seated promptly each time and the servers are always friendly, quick and efficient. The food is absolutely incredible and affordable. Cevapi on lepinja bread are spectacular. The meat is flavorful and juicy and the bread is soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Topped with onions, it is a perfect meal. I have visited Italy and had authentic Italian pizza and enjoyed Tony & Luigi's pizza particularly because it is the closest match I have been able to find. The tomato/basil/mozzarella pizza is delicious and feels much lighter than pizzas from other restaurants. They also have a $6.99 lunch special, which is a great deal. I will certainly return to Tony & Luigi's and I would highly recommend it. more

Great food, great place 3/16/2010

Always have a great experience.. The risotto is amazing, the lamb even more amazing.. Definitely worth the trip.\r \r And don't be fooled by the comment below about the ""fake"" French waiter.. Petrica is actually Romanian and an absolute delight.. One of the best waiters around. \r \r Highly recommend everything about Tony and Luigi's! Pros: Food, ambience, Sinatro music, service staff more

Good food, great prices!!!! 2/20/2010

Went there multiple times ever since the resturant opened. Friendly staff and timely service. I love their bread and cheeze dip they serve right away. Had almost tried all food on menu and still coming back for more. Ignore other negative comments, these are obviously jelouse and insercure competitors. Lunch is only $ 6.99, a great deal in this economy!!! The quality of the food is unbelivable. Everything is made from scatch. As a person who grew up on homecooked meals, this resturant is like coming home. All the meals are cooked to perfection. I have never had a problem with this resturant. I strongly recommend it to people who appreciate good food and great prices. Pros: great food, friendly staff, affordable prices more

Loved it 12/4/2009

Bruchetta was good,my wife had Lobster Tortellini and just loved it. I had 14oz ribeye(tenderloin) on menu, was a little fatty but cooked to my request. Tasty. On Thur-Sat. they have a singer that sounds and does Sinatra songs. Loved it so much we made reservations for New Years Eve. As Mikey would say"" Try it You'll Like It"" Oh, service was excellent, friendly staff. very attentive yet not overly attentive. Pros: Atmosphere, food, friendliness Cons: wine a little pricey more

don't be fooled by good reviews !!! 10/24/2009

I went there on 9/24 for my birthday, we had recieved a coupon in the mail. my wife and I went with another couple,(also Chefs like us). we got there, they sat us down after they had to clear a table where children were sitting, it was a mess. but there were plenty of other tables clean and ready to go. but they chose to make us wait while they clean the dirty one. we asked to move. they said it would just be a minute. and made us wait some more. after a few minutes a young waiter with a fake french accent came to our table, with a made up french pretenious name, asked us if we would like water. and left and came back 10 minutes later with water, not very cold water actually, not even any ice in it. he then asked us if we were ready to order, did not ask us if we wanted a drink? just to order dinner. we told him we would like a drink and some appetizers first. my wife told him it was my birthday, he did not acknoledge her or say happy birthday to me. but that was fine. we got drinks and the calamari , the drinks barely had any ice in them. and the calamari was cold. it came with a dipping sauce that had no taste.except for mayo. we asked for some marinara sauce, he said it doesnt come with that. we asked for some any way. we finally ordered our entree's, my wife and the other male ordered the rack of lamb, it came out dry and hacked up. i could have put the whole rack in my pocket, thats how small it was. the sides were cold. i ordered the veal parm. it came with some wierd kind of white sauce. that did not belong to this dish whatsoever. it also had no cheese on it. so why is it called veal parm? oh and by the way, the veal was overcooked. and chewy. if you dont kknow how to cook veal, you just shouldnt do it. the waiter never came over to ask how everything was.? never came and asked if we needed another drink? at the end of our meal asked if we had room for dessert? and we said no thanks. no complimentary birthday cake? oh well i didnt expect it from these wannabees any way. while we sat and opened our presents the staff and the chef(not even italian by the way- mexican). they all looked at us like - when are you people going to leave? i guess they needed to get home and watch hells kitchen or something. we got the bill and we said to the waiter, we recieved a coupon in the mail, but forgot to bring it with us, (because we were excited to try a great italian dinner(which is hard to find in Austin). but he told us he could not honor the discount without the coupon. oh well again. all in all we had a very bad taste in our mouth after leaving this so called italian restaurant. we wont be back. i suggest you dont even bother trying it. you will have better luck at johnny carino's.or chili's at least they have good service. \r \r why is it so difficult to find good italian food in this area.? i have been a chef for 16 years i have worked at 4 star restaurants for 8 of them. and it never ceases to amaze me, how simple food is ruined every day across this country. \r \r shame on you Tony & Luigi !!!!! Pros: nice ambiance Cons: everything else more

This place is awesome!! 5/11/2009

My husband and I received a gift card to this restaurant and tried it out the other night to celebrate Mother's Day. We were so glad we did, what a great restaurant. We are putting it on our hometown favorites list!! We had the bruschetta, pizza, and the chocolate torte (TO DIE FOR, you must order this). One of our favorites was the fresh bread and cream cheese spread that comes with it, this will keep us coming back. Our waiter was so attentive (he packed us up some bread and cheese spread to go!!) and the service was so fast and friendly. We were actually shocked when we got our bill, the prices are amazing for the quality of food & service that we received. Try this place out, you won't regret it. Pros: Unique menu, great service, friendly atmosphere more

Wonderful 2/16/2009

All the ingredients are fresh every day. Everything prepared with care. Presentation is immaculate. I've been there three times and the food was delicious each time. Best restaurant in Georgetown for sure, and rivals the finer eateries in greater Austin! more

Best food in Texas 12/16/2008

I've been here three times, first time was when they first opened, I wasn't that satisfied but I decided to give them another chance, I went back and fell in love. Their bread was warm and had a different flavor and I hope that they will start selling it. My husband and I shared the crab cakes for an appetizer and they were wonderful. I had one of their homemade pizzas ans my husband had one of their gourmet stake, which he swears is the most tender stale he has ever eaten in a restaurant. The gentleman that served us took great care of us, we never had to ask for a refill on our drinks. All in all I love this restaurant.!!! more

Great for lunch too. 12/5/2008

The other reviews have said it all so I will just say this place is great. Be sure to try them for lunch too. Pros: Fast and relaxed for lunch. more

We highly recommend Tony & Luigi's Restaurant! 11/28/2008

We've eaten at Tony & Luigi's Restaurant 3 times, and each time it's been a delight. Everything is made from scratch so it has delicious flavor and freshness. We hosted a group of 140 diners from Sun City and the service was excellent and the food came out fast and hot. They did a superb job in handling our large group.\r \r Frank & Nezira, owners, are ever-present in their restaurant. They have hired a fine staff of energetic knowledgable people. Everyone is well trained and positive.\r \r We recommend the calamari, stuffed mushrooms, the blue cheese salad, goulash, pizza, creme brulee' and chocolate cake. Try their extensive wine selections.\r \r Tony & Luigi's is an excellent addition to Georgetown's restaurant scene. It provides excellent food at a reasonable price in a modern classy setting. Come try it out...your tastebuds will thank you!!! Pros: Everything is made from scratch. All the food is fresh and delicious. Cons: Parking is limited out front, although the church parking lot in the back is close by. more

Best mixture of european foods 11/3/2008

I was at Tony and Luigi?s twice, and I have to say it was an experience. First I entered and thought I was underdressed because of there high class interior, after looking at the prices, which where more than reasonable, I felt more comfortable. The first time I went I had a delectable Fettuccini Alfredo pasta. All of there pasta is made from scratch right in the restaurant. I also tried a dessert called Barcelona cake which was unusual but most definitely delicious. The second time I tried a Mediterranean goulash, it was unlike ones I have usually had, but most definitely worth it, and I had a tiramisu to go, which was appetizing. I suggest if you are looking for a great meal go to Tony and Luigi?s. Pros: MIxture of foods from all around the meddeteranian more
