I decided to save some time during the holidays, so instead of dropping my car off at my usual shop I went here for my oil change. BIG mistake!! I found the workers to be unfriendly and borderline rude. I thought the oil change went fine though. Well, about 2 weeks ago my husband noticed something leaking under my car. He got under the car and looked and noticed the plug in the oil pan was new and that's where the leak was coming from. They never mentioned they put in a new plug and why exactly did they need to do that? I've owned this car for 12 years and the plug has been perfectly fine till I took it to this place! When I called to question them, I was given a lame excuse and told I could bring my car back and they would check to see if it was leaking. Check to see IF it was leaking?? Come look at my driveway and you'll see that something is leaking. It wasn't leaking before I had my oil changed here. Now my car is at my regular shop having whatever they messed up corrected. And getting the oil changed 1000 miles early because they have to drain the oil to look at the plug. Now I?ll be paying for the time I tried to save, my regular shop isn?t going to correct this for free. I didn't want to take it back to Tolsdorf because I was afraid that would cause more damage, they've done enough now. more

I dropped my car off at tolsdorfs in the morning and picked it up later in the afternoon. I checked my odometer before I dropped it off. When I picked my car up I opened the door and found my car to be reeking of fast food. I had my car detailed 2 days prior, so I found this odd. When I checked my odometer again, my mileage was up by 2 miles. I called them when I got home to explain what I found, and the attendant was rude and said they just did the oil change and parked in the lot for the rest of the day. I can't help but think that it was taken to pick up food. Even if an attendant had just eaten and changed my oil there is no way my car would still smell of fast food 5 hours later! Just food for thought! more

Took my car in for a simple oil change. They were unable to reconnect a bolt attaching a protective plate on the undercarriage. They handed me the bolt separately when they returned the car. I have had the oil changed on this car approximately 60 times at various shops. This is the only shop where this problem has ever occurred. When I stated my dissatisfaction, the manager became argumentative. more

Yesterday morning I showed up at your facility to have my oil changed at 7:55 am. Got my license number and walked into the waiting room with another customer at 7:58. We were both scolded by 2 of you employees for coming in to the waiting room before 8 am. We both looked at each other in amazement. You made us both feel like crap. Glad you have some much business that you can treat customers poorly. I have been going to this store for 4 years with 4 cars and now I will be going to Jiffy Lube as I did with my other 2 cars yesterday. There I was treated like a true customer. I am a previous customer of Tolsdorf and on this morning I had to drive to New Hampshire which I wasn't to happy about to begin with. I called Tolsdorf to get there hours and recording said open at 8 a.m I got there at about 8:45 a.m and there were four guys shoveling snow around and two guys inside just walking around. I got out to go in and one guy came to the door and said they were closed for about another hour or so. He said the manager Joe Brown didn't want them opening until the snow was shoveled. The lot and walks were already clear. I explained that I was on my way to New England and wanted to get the oil changed. But no doing. I explained that I called and there was no message that you were opening an hour or so late. six guys at the place, two doing nothing that I could see and I couldn't get a 20 minute oil change. The review with 5 stars under ""sveta"" is from the manager's young girlfriend. That shows the morality and kind of honesty you will get from the business. You might notice the only other review is from a disgruntled customer who reflects they will rip you off. The manager Mr. Brown would've removed this ridiculous attempt of his girlfriends if he were honest. I took my pickup in for an oil change. The servie attendant said that I had three oil compartments that needed to be changed. What he failed to mention was that the transfer case, front & rear differentials do not need to be changed until 150,000 miles. Early service would be at 100,000 miles. As I had no idea what he was talking about and in general very trusting of people I said to do the work. I called the Ford helpline to check how often these need to be serviced because I thought $244 for an oil change rather expensive, the Ford representative said that only dishonest service stations tell you that it needs to be changed sooner. What they did was not illegal but ethically/morally wrong. Pros: fast service Cons: will try to rip you off more
