if you're looking for a halloween costume or 80's outfits for a party, make sure you check out time after time. It's a bit more expensive than other thrift stores but it has a better selection and even non-used random things like fish net stockings and stickers. I really like their vintage t-shirt collection and the ties and buttons. It's a fun place to browse! more

Great finds!! 9/6/2005

I personally love thrift stores and have not had much luck finding anything good until I came to Time After Time. This shop is small and has a lot of clothes and accessories crammed into the store, so you have to look carefully. I come here often and never leave empty-handed. This thrift store has something for everyone! more

Great vintage finds! 9/1/2005

I love Time After Time for vintage clothing and accessories. Every time I go in there, I find tons of stuff I want to buy--like a whole bunch of leather jackets for about $7 this past spring. You can depend on Time After Time for costumes, too. Especially for a retro-themed party, definitely go there first! Plus, it's such a convenient location, right on Franklin Street--if you don't find something there (unlikely) you can just go to another thrift store down the street! more

Neat shop! 8/21/2005

If you're ever wandering around in Chapel Hill and looking for something to do, Time After Time is a fun shop to spend some time in. I have never actually bought anything there, but it is so much fun to just look around. They have normal clothes - like cute t-shirts and jeans - to weird old bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses that look like they are from the 1980s. Every time I go in, I always find something that makes me giggle. I also almost always find something that I like (I just never have any money to spend when I go there). more

Nice thrift store 8/20/2005

If you're into thrift stores, this is a neat place. Personally, when I was in school, and whenever a costume of any sort was needed, we would always come to this store first. From weird old clothes, to random t-shirts, it's got a neat selection. The store itself is quite packed, they fit a lot in a small place. Personally, the last time I was there I came away with a pair of Buddy Holly glasses! more

good for halloween 8/18/2005

I'm not a big vintage clothes shopper, but Time After Time has always come through when I've needed any kind of costume or particular type of odd clothing. There's tons to look through, and everything is hung up nicely and seems clean. There are always fun accessories to look through, like knee high socks and goofy sunglasses. I wouldn't look for a prom dress there, but there always seem to be plenty of customers adding to their wardrobes while I'm there. more

Overflowing with great consignment clothes 7/25/2005

Time After Time is located near the Carrboro side of Franklin Street. It is a small store but it is full of great finds. Although it looks like everything is jumbled into different areas, the store is actually well organized into shoes, dresses, hats, jewelry, handbags, etc. Clothing from the 1920s to now can be found in Time After Time and it is a great place to find nicer quality costumes for Halloween or any costume party. Take time to dig through the racks and try things on - you never know what you might find! more
