My experience was unbelievable, and not in a good way.
I had heard how great this place was and had been meaning to try it for
awhile. Last year in August I bought a groupon and I wasn't able to make
it in time so I finally got around to using it for the amount paid which
never expires. I was not immediately impressed with customer service right
off the bat, not very friendly or hospitable(the friends I was with noted
the same thing). We sat, I ordered Housemade Chai Latte, mm delicious!
I decided to double check with the waitress about my expired groupon that
I could use what I paid for per groupons terms and she got the manager. A
woman came to the table, (we find out she is in fact the owner of the establishment)super nice at first and asked what my question
was. I explained about the groupon and showed her the app on my phone at
which she said the fine print states the restaurant has the decision
whether or not to accept it. I searched and saw no such thing and stated
that, that is when the tables turned. She said bluntly ""I'm NOT going to
accept your groupon!"" Because of her attitude it made me reconsider
wanting to eat there so I said ""Well maybe we should just leave"", her
response was ""Go ahead!"". At this point I was shocked and even worse was
when my friend tried to ask if we could get more information and she
yelled ""NO!"" and turned her back on us and walked away! This was so
unprofessional, it was unbelievable. We got up and walked out. Customer
service is a skill that should be honed and it appears the owner is
throwing it wholly out the window. Very disappointing. The menu looked
awesome and was looking forward to eating there and being a repeat
customer if I liked it. Too bad. 4 customers lost now. The hostess did
apologize and I appreciated that however that doesn't undo the disrespect
shown by the owner who should be exemplary. IF the owner changes, perhaps
I will try again.
