I go here to get my rings rhodium plated. The location is quiet and private. I think it's nice for a very private shopping experience if that's something that's appealing to you. Their prices for rhodium coating are competitive. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. You get the feel that they are not salesmen, which I like. more

I really can't say enough about this place and highly recommend it for both the experience and product. I found them on google maps, called and spoke to Mike Jr., and from the first call it was a very straight forward and enjoyable process. There was a definite contrast to a few other stores I tried. more

Some jewelers like to hand-wave quite a bit, write down a few prices on a small scrap of paper, and you walk out with no idea what to expect for the final price or how to effectively make the cost tradeoffs to get what you want at a price you're willing to pay. Mike did a great job of explaining the product, the prices, and the tradeoffs and he said it enough times to remember. Another aspect of the experience is that there's no pretense, but it's also not a bargain shop. I get the feeling you could spend $1K or $50k here and enjoy the experience. On top of that, everyone is warm and friendly and has a good sense of humor, so it's just an overall enjoyable experience to stop in. more

This is Mike Joseph, one of the owners of the store. The story below is not what happened- this customer designed a ring and had us build it- she stated (in writing) that we built the ring to her specifications but she just didn't like it. She originally contacted us saying it wasn't our fault she didn't like the ring, but we should refund her the $ because we never told her how much it would be (stating she believed it would be a fraction of the cost.) We showed her the emails between her and the sales associate discussing the estimated price- the actual cost was EXACTLY what was estimated. We redesigned the ring once and have offered to continue to work with her on the ring(s) The details in their review (below) are not consistent with what happened nor are they consistent with what she stated in writing to us. more

Run away from this place! My wife went to Thomas Joseph & Sons with the intention of having them design a new ring using diamonds from a ring that she already had. From the start, the sales lady made many promises that they could absolutely do this to our satisfaction, but then the delays started. There was literally NO communication from her regarding the status of the ring, and we had to call them every couple weeks to find out what the status was. Once they finally completed the ring, my wife was not satisfied with the work or design, and asked that it be re-done to her spec's. Again, more promises and delays, and ultimately, the final product was totally unsatisfactory. In the end, not only did we walk away with an unsatisfactory ring that we had to take to a different jewelry designer to be re-worked (at additional cost to us), but when they re-installed the diamonds back into the original ring, they significantly damaged that ring by installing them in a crooked manner, which is totally obvious even ... My wife went to Thomas Joseph & Sons with the intention of having them design a new ring using diamonds from a ring that she already had. My experience at this establishment was excellent. The salesperson Noel Slack was very product savvy and but did a great job indifferentiate thier product from all other competition. I learned a great deal there and would recommend this retailer to all my freinds in Edina. I'm a customer for life!!!!!!!!!!! more

I bought an engagement ring here and had a great experience. They spent the time with me to teach me about diamonds so i could decide what I wanted. I ended up with a great diamond and a beautiful ring. the prices are much lower than I found at other stores and they were more concerned with getting me the right diamond than they were in just making a sale.\r A++++ Pros: Prices, Knowledge, Service Cons: need later hours more
