Third Federal Savings & Loan

I was denied a "Home Equity LOC" because my appraised value did not meet a certain level of value. The value was based on an automated appraisal. This is in spite of an appraisal I had performed that indicated a $80,000 increase in value. There value was essentially the same amount for what I purchased it for three years ago.\r \r It did not consider 1700 sq ft of living space in my basement that includes a bedroom, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen, living room, family room, entertainment center room, a room for garden supplies, etc. Also note the basement is not your normal type. It has window throughout. It has three separate doors to the backyard patio. It is not a fully solid enclosed basements which 99% are My backyard is landscaped w/brick patio and large creek that runs through my property. This is because an accomplished appraisal was not done. They only considered comparable sales value for the sq ftage of the other floors. They will not consider any other appraisal though sound more

i needed good advice and a company that would help cut a good deal for me since i was interested in purchasing two properties. they werent willing to work with me and tey didnt budge on lowering the interest rate. i told them i knew of places that were offering better deals but they said they werent going to change the rate for me even though i was referred to them by a loyal member! i didnt think they were friendly in a business mode so i probably wont go back to them. more

I am a member of Third Federals Passport program and it guarantees me lifetime mortgage approval. So I never have to worry about getting pre-approvals again, even if I am unemployed, as long as I have at least a 15% down payment. And with just 15% down there is no PMI. There are also perks with membership, like they will periodically send you free movie tickets or Ive even received a $50 GC to home depot. more
