Fine dining in a quaint atmosphere 9/12/2008

I've dined at the Village Tavern several times and have enjoyed each meal. One time my friend ordered their seafood soup and she discovered some hollow shrimp tails in the soup. The chef was mortified and made it right with her, which she really appreciated. Their desserts are good and their wine selection is fabulous. Hammondsport is a quaint little village, and the Village Tavern certainly adds to the appeal of the town. Pros: Terrific Food & Service Cons: Prices slightly above average, but worth it more

nice restaurant near Keuka Lake 5/1/2008

This is a nice restaurant in a beautiful little town. I have been there a few times. The food is very good. The service is friendly and prompt. It is nice to experience at different times of year as it is located within a block of Keuka Lake. I highly suggest going before dark. This way you can experience the beauty of Keuka Lake. My menu suggestions are any of their chicken or beef dishes. They are delicious. I have been pleased with every meal I have had here. They also serve many local wines. Several wineries are nearby. I also highly suggest The Cinnamon Stick store that is on the same street. Pros: excellent food Cons: prices are a little high more
