Terrific Attentive Service 9/23/2010

I've stayed at the Monterey Downtown Travelodge twice and experienced terrific, attentive service each time. The front desk staff is very helpful and efficient. The location is convenient and the furnishings and decor are the very best of any Travelodge I have ever seen. more

accommodating for seniors 7/6/2010

The Monterey Downtown Travelodge is an excellent place to stay!!! Each year, for the past several years, I have stayed there, and I plan to stay there again next year when I return. My wife and are 80 years old, and, at times, it is difficult to find lodging that is so accommodating for seniors as this one is. more

we only stayed one night in your town but fell in love with it and wen we go back we will definitely be staying with you again as the staff were very kind and extemely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. thanks for everything more

Check In: Very easy. Noted that even though I made reservation some time ago, my credit card was not charged until I completed my stay. Desk personnel very knowledgable and helpful. more

above and beyond 6/22/2010

The front desk manager went above and beyond by noticing my oversized truck outside, and advising me to just leave it in the registration parking as I would have difficulty with their underground lot. I really appreciated the advice and him letting me park there. He was also kind enought to assign us a room directly above my vehicle. more

The Downtown Travelodge is a great place to stay! 6/1/2010

Downtown, the wharf and the conference facility are all within walking distance. The bed had a pillow-top for an extra comfortable sleep after a busy day. The staff was extremely helpful with places to eat and tips on places to go. The Downtown Travelodge is a great place to stay! more

Stayed at the Travelodge in Monterey, CA for one night recently. The reviews I'd read on tripadvisor where pretty decent. Spacious, free wifi etc. At $55 dollars/night it was a reasonable deal. When I checked in, though, the room was not spacious AT ALL. The bathroom floor was tinged yellow. I kept my shoes on the whole time! There was also a 'smell' in the room, a slightly sour smell I bought a candle on cannery row to burn in the room an it helped somewhat. The only 'pro' was the free wifi, that ended up being very convenient. more
