The Remington At Memorial

MOVING OUT of Remington at Memorial Apartments was the best decision I ever made. I am so glad I no longer have to deal with Gaines Investment Trust and the office staff at Remington. Incompetence is an understatement for how they run that complex. I never once felt like the staff cared about me as a resident. There was always an excuse for why something couldn't get done. I paid these people a lot of money to live at this place for 3 years - I was never late. And I am left feeling like my time there was a total waste. I should have gotten out sooner. If you are looking in S. Tulsa for an apartment, I would think twice before renting from this company. more

I have lived here for six years, it was great the first 2. After that something changed. Everyone came home to threatening letters on their doors on a daily basis. I have never had a noise complaint or paid my rent late, but myself and other residents have notes on our doors constantly saying we are not in compliance with our lease and we have 24 hours to fix it or we are kicked out! They don't check on these so called violations they just tell u that u have 24 hours to fix it or you will be locked out and loose all of your belongings in your apartment if you dont meet their demands. I have been threatened to be kicked out for not cleaning my patio, for having a mattress on my patio which was not true and they were rude about when i called to tell them, they claim to have valet trash but constantly leave notes on my door claiming im in violation and they have the right to search my trash so they can charge me $50 dollars a bag, and they even once gave me a discount for resigning of -150 dollars first months rent. I paid the rent and they threatened to kick me out for failure to pay the full amount! I called them and they admitted they made a mistake and made me write another check because they mailed it back to me. I was nice and did so only to come home to another letter on my door two days later saying yet again i failed to pay my rent in full and have 24 hours to not only do so but it would now cost me an additional 200 dollars and have to be a cashiers check I called them and they said they never recieved the second check and that they needed a third check that day even though this was all their mistake! The office is awfull! I have had my car destroyed by speed bumps that were so tall they ripped them out of the ground because they ripped the guts out of trucks but refused to pay for the engine damage it caused to my car when it caused my car to completely drain all of its oil My apartment was robbed when they couldnt get the gates fixed for 6 months I lost $7000 dollars of electronics and they ignored it more

Good: the tour.. Bad: everything they show you on the tour is a gimmick. grill is never clean and igniters havent worked in two years. staff is never willing to help. you get fined for everything. all appliances are the cheapest you will find in any apartment. remotes for the gates rarely work and leave you locked out all the time.. Improvements: all of the staff fired and a new staff brought on that helps residents rather than threatening to fine for. Other: most apartments have the apartment cleaned when you move out. this place makes you hire a crew or charge you twice the amount. anything not left in perfect condition is charged to be cleaned. the rent I ended up paying was $100 more than i was told when i made my deposit and couldn't back out without loosing $250. more

Good: The location is good and the pool is nice in the summer but THATS ALL!!. Bad: First and foremost the customer service is the worst in any complex I have lived in and I have lived in several large cities. My main complaint is the attitude of this one "salesman" or office worker named Tammy. She has to be the rudest bitch I have ever met and goes out of her way (once you sign the lease) to not care or assist you with any issues you may have. Also don't be fooled by the facade or "amenities" when you taking a tour. The units have the cheapest cabs, carpet, vinyl flooring, & appliances. Improvements: FIX THE F---ING GATES. Nothing worse than after a long day at work you have to spend 10 mins pushing a remote hoping the gate will open.*2nd We need a walking patrol, too many break-ins and shady people knocking and soliciting at your door. You have security bugging me for a pool pass during the summer but where are you when tenant's units are getting broke into or when the gate is stuck open for 3 days at a time. Also get rid of Tammy in the front office, she would be the sole reason for me not renewing.. Other: To all potential tenants, please take your time and don't let the flashy pool or theater room blind you. Ask to see your unit before you sign. Finally don't let "the office girls" shinny personalities fool you. Once you sign the lease they forget about you and act like you are bothering them if you need anything or help from them. ***The maintenance guys are pretty cool***. more

before you decide to live here, just come in and act like a resident. notice they only keep enough staff to give tours and sign new leases. If you need help with something and someone wants a tour, you are out of luck. Once they get you to sign the lease, they could care less about you. remotes to gates never work and the appliances in the apartments are the cheapest that I have ever seen. everything here is a gimmick. If the managers of my old apartment were here, this place might be a good place. but not with these people. more

I have enjoyed every second of living at The Remington at Memorial Apartments. It is so easy to get to anything that I want because of the location. The amenities are wonderful! They even have a movie theater that we rent out about once a month for "Girls Night!" You should check them out and ask for Katie when you visit. more
