Great food, Wine List & Service! 9/28/2011

I LOVE The Quiet Woman. The food is amazing!!! My son loves the golf ball steak. I love the seafood. The have a great happy hour too!. My Favorite thing about Quiet woman is they have something for everyone. I have had a nice dinner, Lunch, and meal with the family(my kids are 4 and 8) and the nightlife Thursday Friday Saturday is great. Live music on weekends and a great way to unwind after a long week of work. Quiet Woman is One of my favorite places in Corona Del Mar. more

Not so great and over priced 5/30/2008

This place is very over-rated. The food is only so-so and the prices are outrageous. $24 for a chicken pasta dish that tasted like it came from a can and a $36 steak that was mostly bone and fat (a very poor cut). We were not impressed. If you want a refill on your soda, it's like pulling teeth and you'll pay $2 for a refill... who does that? The service was polite, but slow and lacking in attention. The atmosphere is mellow and the only positve of our visit. This place has potential, but is overpriced and the food and service need a huge improvement to live up to the hype and cost. Maybe that's just how the Newport crowd likes it, but that's not for us. Quiet Women will remain a quiet secret and not recommended. Pros: atmosphere Cons: price, poor food, and slow service more

worse meal in years 4/29/2008

My husband and I decided to go to Quit Woman to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. We were so excited to dine at a place with live music! We were particulary lookinging forward to a good meal because we were celebrating our anniversary and the upcoming birth of our first baby. We ordered crab cakes to start. I ordered the lamb which came with french onion soup and my husband ordered the chicken pasta and french onion soup as well. The crab cakes were terrible...they were soft and the lacking flavor. The soup tasted like canned onion soup with a pile of cheese in the middle. My husband thought it was okay but I couldnt eat more than 2 bites. The lamb was HORRIBLE! It tasted old and the flavor was quite terrible. We had to move it away from us because the smell was bothering us. The pasta was a 2 out of 10. It tasted like something that would be served on a plane. Actually, I've had better plane food. The whole meal was a huge waste of money...the place is pretty overpriced. Pros: nice music and service Cons: terrible overpriced food more

Quiet Woman gets rather Loud 5/9/2006

The New York peppercorn steak is tender and flavorful; the pork chops and fresh fish delicious. Entrees are served with soup or salad- the salad is delivered along with a lazy susan of condiments- bacon, mushrooms, sprouts, kidney beans, croutons. The small, quaint, coastal restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Arrive early or plan to wait for a table. Reservations are only accepted for parties of 6 or more. Request the dining room, which is adjacent to the bar. The bar gets busy, crowded, and loud. Pros: NY Peppercorn Steak, Great Service, good wine by the glas Cons: parking, gets loud late more

The ""Cheers"" of the Coast in CDM 6/9/2005

I've been dining at the QW for 25 years and can always count on a great meal for a good price. From Tommy behind the bar to Terri serving drinks, you can still count on someone remembering your name. It gets busy on Thurs, Friday and Saturdays like most places on the coast but is worth the wait. They take reservations for parties and over. more
