The Pool Store

Just saw the ad for The Pool Store and read the reviews. I am looking to buy an in-ground liner and The Pool Store was highly recommended by my neighbors. I noticed that the last negative comment was posted in February at a time when The Pool Store is closed for the season which makes me believe what others have said, that competitors are writing the bad reviews. Crazy and unfair that you can be anoynomous when writing these. All of my neighbors said to go with this store so I will go by 'true' experiences and give them the business. more

Just bought an in-ground pool from The Pool Store. They built pools for 2 of my neighbors and a co-worker last year. All were very pleased and said they would buy from them all over again. My co-worker told me not to go anywhere else. Construction starts in mid-April so we'll see. My kids are so excited! more

It is apparent the people at the pool store wrote the good reviews for this site. This is the worst pool store in the South Jersey area. While I don't have any favorite pool company locally, this is one that I would recommend people stay away from. The owner is very combative when something goes wrong and she doesn't stand by her product or the workmanship of her workers. DO NOT USE THIS STORE! more

Where do I begin? We ordered a liner which we were told would be in in 2 weeks. The gave us 3 different days when they would come out and do final measurements. They finally came out after we called them. The customer should not have to call for the installers to come out to do their job. Then told us that the liner was on back order and they would put it in in the spring. Hello that's why I bought a liner so my pool wouldn't leek through the winter. Finally after a month we have a liner not after an argument on the phone. Again had to call to find out when the installers were coming to my house. The argument was with the owner because she didn't believe that her people called us to inform us that the installation would be on a Monday and Tuesday. Why would we make this up? The owner is nasty and I don't understand how you can run a business like that. Isn't the customer always right? I was threatened with a lawsuit if I didn't pay for my liner. I have been dealing with Toni for over 10 years with my pool. She used to work for another local company for the past 8 years and now has her own store. Everyone at The Pool Store is very helpful and informative. They do not try to sell me anything I don't need like every other pool company does and Toni goes out of her way to help me. I like that she is a "hands on" owner. She really knows her stuff when it comes to pools. I pass 5 pool stores on my way to her store. If you have had a bad experience with her then you must be unreasonable. more

The Pool Store has opened, closed and serviced my in-ground concrete pool since they opened three years ago. Their prices for opening and closing are the best in South Jersey, and their price for supplies is comparable to Del Val and Niagara, to name a couple I shopped before The Pool Store opened close to my home. Toni and staff are courteous and professional. I highly recommend them. I suspect these negative reviews are from family members of rival pool stores because they are so far removed from my personal experience. more

Avoid The Pool Store in Swell, NJ. The service was horrible and I would never recommend them to anyone. I heard good things about them last year so I decided to give them a shot. It was the worst mistake we made having them involved with our pool. Stay away! more

I too thought they were good in 08. That has not been the case in 2009. They have been horrible, damaged my pool badly! Untrained workers. STAY AWAY more

When I first started dealing with this company summer of 2008 I thought they were great until I had problems with the liner that was installed. I have been dealing with problems since the end of May and has not been resolved yet.I would not do business with this company again.Pam7/2/09 more

What a fantastic company. They installed my in-ground pool liner in less than 2 weeks, called me in advance to set up the installation date, called me two days in advance to give me a four hour window and showed up as scheduled. The liner is perfect. What a great company to work with, fully stocked store and their prices are cheaper then the large chain stores. They really know their stuff. more

World class!! They are so friendly and helpful. They do everthing from installation, repair and install new pool liners, water testing, and opening and closing your pool. Prices are reasonable and the store is nice inside. more
