My boyfriend and I went to Melting Pot and we experienced a fun, fun, fun! Dinner. I kept on stealing his lobsters (lol), but anyway, the food was awesome! Will be returning with ...

This is a restaurant that is good to try once...it's very pricy and over-rated. And the Most Romantic in Denver??? Please!

Melting in your mouth! 12/19/2002

The Melting Pot is one of the best fondue restaurants I have ever eaten at. The atmosphere is quiet and classy and the service is friendly and adaptable to your timing needs. The food and wine are out of this world. I would recommend the Melting Pot to anyone looking for a great place for that special occasion or just taking a friend to dinner. Pros: Delicious food, Perfect atmosphere, Great wine selection more

Food Filling NO...Overpriced, YES 12/19/2002

I have been to The Melting Pot twice now. I have to say it is very romantic. I feel for the price you dont receive enough food. But for a date, price shouldnt matter...Atmosphere does. Grade A Pros: atmosphere, staff courteous, Chocolate Fondu YUMMY Cons: price, amount of food more

Perfect for a romantic date 12/15/2002

I've never been a real fondu fan because it generally takes you 3 hours to complete a meal. However, The Melting Pot is a treat each and every time I go there. Although a little expensive(marginally), the portions are actually just right for for a satisfying meal. The ambiance is rustic and beautiful. The lights are dim with fireplaces and wood/rock surroundings. Definately a great date location. The meals come in the usual three courses. The cheddar/beer apetizer with bread is excellent. We've tried all of the meal fondu's and found that the broth is both light and very tasty (we usually get the platter with the meats and seafood). The dessert is the climax of the entire thing. We have tried a different one each time, and made a couple of our own (do dark choccolate with amaretto), and every one was a treat. Expensive, but worth it! Pros: Atmosphere, food, valet parking Cons: a little expensive more

FAVORITE Restaurant!!!! 12/12/2002

I used to live in Washington, D.C. where they have a Melting Pot. A friend took me for my going-away supper and I loved it. My husband took me out for a celebratory supper at the one in Denver, and it was as good as I remembered. They even had a rose in a vase on the table (which I got to take with me). A little pricey, but great for an ""every once in awhile occasion."" Pros: Atmosphere, Privacy, Great Service Cons: Expensive, VERY busy, Need reservations more

Culinary pedestrians 12/6/2002

Terrible service for large groups. It would help if the wai staff did not break glasses or drop hot food repeatedly on customers. The wine list, wait staff, service and reservation policy is substandard for the price you pay. Pros: good parking Cons: EXPENSIVE, Terrible wait staff, Lousy reserv. policy more

YUM 12/2/2002

Great place with a wonderful atmosphere, great service and really fun great food! Pros: unique, great food, atmosphere more

a fun place to go on a date 11/26/2002

We went to The Melting Pot on a Double date wiht our close friends. It is very nice. And a fun place to go on a date. Would be romantic if on a solo date. The food was very good and fun. The service was very good. Pros: Good Food, Romantic, Service more

Great for table conversation!! 11/14/2002

Great for a date...esp if you want a private table....far right from the front door in corner...as close to a private room as you can get. Foods great but if I'm cooking myself, well why is it priced like Morton's of Chicago? Glad I didn't have to clean up too... would have cost me $300 I guess Pros: Romantic, Great dipping sauces Cons: Price, Location, Parking lot more

great food 11/14/2002

The ambience is great. The dessert fondues are to die for! more

Not to miss 11/7/2002

Fondue-bulous! 10/5/2002

My husband took me here for our 1 month wedding anniversary and we LOVED it! The cheese fondue was delicious! The salad was pretty good. The main course which we ordered the vegetarian broth with sampler meats was really good especially with the variety of sauces offered. And dessert... chocolate fondue... was to die for! By far one of the best meals I have ever had. Its pricey but worth it if you are celebrating a special occassion. Pros: Great food, Good service, Exotic Cons: Kind of dark, Pricey, Need reservations more

Oh the chocolate.... 9/18/2002

The Melting Pot is great for any occasion. Reservations are a must because they are always busy, but you can see why after just one bite. The food is excellent, the service is impecable and the atmosphere is very elegant. Whether it is a romantic dinner or an evening with friends, this restaurant caters to your every need. Be sure to save room for the chocolate fondue! Pros: Delicious food, Great atmosphere, Excellent service Cons: A little pricey, Availability more

Gratifying Grubs! 9/3/2002

I wouldn't write it if I didn't mean it. It was a totally different experience that that of the typical restaurant. With a little guidance and practise you too, can become a fondue-neer?!?! yeah I dunno. But seriously if you haven't gone here - you must. You can easily have a meal for two for under 120 including tip, drinks and drinks- depends how much of an alcoholic you are. I'm going back there later this month - just to try there rich and wonderful sauces and deserts! 10 out of 10! more

How good it this place 8/27/2002

We have been going to the Melting Pot for our birthdays for 3 years now. It's our favorite to get away from the kids and enjoy a great long dinner. more

Cheese & Dessert Please 8/26/2002

If you don't go to the Melting Pot for any other reason, go for the cheese & then skip to dessert. Their chocolate is sinful and orgasmic. more

baileys and chocolate! 8/23/2002

It may not seem so special until you taste each item on the plate. The bananas and strawberries are my favorite. The cheesecake is some of the best I've had. more

Super! 8/13/2002

The 1st time I went was in Fl... we moved out here 8 years ago and there wasn't one out here... I was heart broken! The best fondue and very romantic... esp downstairs... more

Very Romantic 7/25/2002

The atmosphere is tremendously romantic. Lights are dim, harp music plays and your table is usually far enough away from others that you almost feel like you and your date are alone. The food is great fondue and since you have a four course meal coming, you will spend from 1-2 hours in close corners with your date. So at least bring someone you like. The wait staff is quite helpful and knowledgeable so unless you know exactly what you want, let them guide you. With no wine or alcholic beverage $80, tip included, will do for two. Pros: food first rate, wait staff helpful, valet parking Cons: expensive more
