I bring my car here for everyday repair type stuff and have started bringing my wife's here too. The mechanics seem nice and they get the job done quick which is basically all I want.\r \r The last time I was here they had to replace a freeze plug in my Honda which turned out to be a pretty big job because they had to take the entire intake part off the engine just to get to it. It was a cheap part, but a lot more for the labor but that's the nature of cars these days.\r \r When I was a kid you could crawl inside the engine compartment. Fair priced 1/14/2012

The folks at King?s Garage are hands down running the best auto shop I've been to. We were being sapped by dealers and unprofessional shops trying to keep our Audi A4 on the road, it seemed to have a bunch of issues and we were blaming Audi reliability. As it turns out Ray the owner of King?s explained our car had been trashed by bad mechanics! \r I was kind of skeptical, but let him work on the car. Right away he cleared up all the engine and drive line issues and they have not returned.\r Not only are they one of the best car shops, they are also fair priced. Well below dealer cost, and even better than the chain shops with big names. more

My old Chevy Suburban was on its last legs to say the least. It had been through hell with pulling trailers and camping trips up in the Rockies, in fact I took it on some 4 wheel drive area that were not fit for anything but foot traffic, they were more like trails. I got stuck out there once and had to live in this suburban for two days until someone came along!! Anyways, the guys at King?s did a good job and it didn?t cost as much as I was worried it would. I think the thing I liked best is that they actually opened the hood and explained what was wrong and what the fix would be instead of just telling me. more

I had to bite the bullet and get a new head for my Suburban. The truck had been through hell with pulling trailers and camping trips up in the mountains, in fact I took it on some four wheel drive roads that were hardly even roads anymore, they were more like trails. I got stuck out there once and had to live in this suburban for two days until someone came along!! Anyways, the guys at King???s did a good job and it didn???t cost as much as I was worried it would. Good mechanics, great service 12/25/2011

I have a little Toyota that I took to King's because it needed a new tranny. This was a pretty tough time for me because I had no other transportation and did not know how I would get to work. I also need to drive while I am at work as my job has changing locations. I was so worried that my boss was going to can me. A tranny is a big job so I understood that the King's mechanic would have the car close to a week.The cool thing is that the owner stepped in and helped me out with a free rental car that he had on his property. It was a crappy rental car but he let me use it for free and it got me around all week. This was such nice customer service. Based on this, I would totally go back. more

I was really happy with the above board service here 12/19/2011

My little Dodge would not go into gear anymore and I sat there and tried and tried and tried. I did not know any better, but I had wrecked the clutch on the car by being a crummy shifter over the years. I had no choice but to get the car towed and repaired. I ended up randomly choosing the King's Garage based on where I was broke down...it was really close, like less than a mile I think. Also the tow truck driver knew the shop was right inn the neighborhood. At this point I was just upset about my car being broken down so I was willing to take it wherever. I called a friend after the clutch diagnosis and was told this was a big job to get done. The guys at King's fixed me up in only like a day and a half and they were also nice enough to pick up the tow bill. (Maybe they have an arrangement with the tow company, I don't know. All I know is that I did not have to pay the tow fee as well :)) As it happens, I was at fault for the bad clutch because I am always riding the pedal instead of shifting as getting off of it. The mechanic so great that he taught me how to improve my clutching on the pedal so I did not end up burning the clutch out in the future. We rode around the block a few times so he could instruct me, I really felt like this was "next level" customer service-because of this, I would totally go back to King's in the future. King's Went Above and Beyond 12/18/2011

My little car would not go into gear anymore and I didn't know what was wrong. After getting it towed to the King's Garage I found out I had blown the clutch. I was totally stuck. The guys at King?s Garage got me fixed up in no time. It turns out that I was the reason that the clutch went out?.I was riding on the pedal when I drove. The guys at King?s were so great that they taught me how to improve my clutching on the pedal so I did not end up burning the clutch out in the future. I recommend. more

Love King's Service 12/14/2011

I brought my car here to get brakes, but the repair man also found out that one of my wheel bearings was shot so bad that I could have lost the whole wheel while driving. I was super glad for the heads up as I drive my grand kids around all the time. It showed how great their customer service is that they went the extra mile to check everything while doing my brakes. Reasonable price, great service, I would suggest going here to anyone. more

Great Service With An Eye For Detail 12/14/2011

While doing the brakes on my car, the mechanic at King's did a thorough inspection of everything else and found that I had a wheel bearing that was so bad that I could have had the wheel fall right off when I was driving. I was glad he found it because of how dangerous this is-imagine losing your front wheel doing 70 on the highway!! Anyways they replaced this with the brakes in only a few hours. The price was good as was the service. I am happy I took a friends recommendation and went to King's. Pros: null Cons: null more

WORST GARAGE IN HISTORY 6/5/2011

I truly wish I could give this shameful place a negative 5 star rating. I'm a single mom of 5 kids on disability and very ill. I had saved up for 2 and half yrs to buy myself and my 22yr girl a car. I took an 02 Mazda MPV to King's to make sure this was a good car to purchase for $4500. Ray told me that they had a special on the "used car inspection" usually runs over $100 but it was only $50. I also asked them to do an inspection on my '96 Subaru since I knew it needed a clutch and possibly rotors. Ray told me to bring the van in at any time , it was Friday May 13, and they would get it in right away. The seller of the car and I met at King?s at noon. 3 hours later, they were finally done. Ray told me the car was in excellent condition, it would need a tune up and some other preventative maintenance over the next year but that it was overall a great deal. I bought the van, left my Subi there for further investigation. 2 days later, the check engine light came on the minivan, and I had noticed the engine missing. I called Ray on Monday to report the problems and to check on the Subi. The Subi still hadn?t been checked and Ray told me that the van did need a tune up and that was why it was having problems. I stopped in on Tues to get some stuff from the Subi, actually hoping it was done, but it was not. Ray acted like I was a problem instead of a customer and there was still no news on the Subi. I got sick on Wed. but called to check, Ray was rude and had no idea what was goin on w/ Subi. Still no word on Thursday. Finally got a call on Friday from Tom, the mechanic who proceeded to give me a whole list of things the Subi needed including a thermostat that he wanted to charge me over $150 (they cost like $12 at Auto Zone) and $120 to wash the engine. I told them not to wash the engine, to please replace the most important part (which according to Tom was this oil sensor seal). I was charged $370 for an engine was and to replace a $2 part. I must admit I didn?t do my homework on this place before. I thought this was a place I had gone to over 18yrs ago that had been honest and helpful when I needed it, but I was wrong. I thought oh well, they seem nice, very Christian, seem to be honest, talked to me about gardening and such. Now they?re telling me that the van they told me was an awesome deal needs over $3000 worth of work on it just be safe, that my Subi needs over $2000 and my daughter?s Saturn needs $500 minimum. They charged me twice for diagnoses on the minivan, and $111 for each the Subi and Saturn, and did work and charged me for the Subi. They were rude every time I asked questions or called to ask what the word was on my cars, they way overcharged and, I truly believe, they sabotaged every one of my vehicles. When we dropped off my daughter?s Saturn, all of her tail lights worked. I know because I followed her. They wanted $75 to replace 3 of them that suddenly went out, and 2 that went out on my Subi. These people aren?t very nice people. I?m into them for almost $1000 which may as well be a $million to me since I only $700 a month for myself and all of my kids. All of my savings is gone and I?m stuck with 3 cars that all need work done just to get them running again. Oh but if I?m interested in selling them, Tom and Ray are VERY interested in buying them for junk prices?yeah right, it?s far more likely that they?ll fix whatever they sabotaged and make several grand on my back. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. DO NOT BELIEVE THESE ?POSITIVE? RATINGS. EVEN IF SOME DID HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE, IT?S PROBABLY ONLY BECAUSE THOSE CUSTOMERS NEVER ARGUED AND PAID OUT A LOT OF CASH THINKING THEY WERE GETTING ONE HELLUVA DEAL. OR?THEY?RE JUST PEOPLE BEING PAID OR BRIBED TO GO ON AND PUT GOOD REVIEWS. more

What an embarrassment Ray the owner is to ALL Christians!!! Our vehicle was in the shop for close to 2 weeks. When I called Ray I was treated rudely. The story kept going on....never getting an answer when our truck would be done. My patience was pushed..I called him and was ripped into by Ray...some business man!! He was so nasty I called the Arvada Police Dept for a Civil standy by to get my truck..no surprise...the PD was familiar with the business...there were 3 Officers with me! He presented me the bill for $2200.00. I was going to charge it..he said no...I had to pay cash!! hhhmmm...wonder if he does that with all customers...or just isolated me...I will be investigating. PLEASE...PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM KINGS GARAGE. Doug's is across the street...a much better...professional choice!! more

Amazing! 2/28/2011

I am amazed that my husband and I found such a great mechanic! Like most people now a days, we don't have the money for a full on repair when it hits so we were amazed to learn that the job Ray did for $1200 would have cost us $1800- $2200 at 6 different local shops. It was crazy. $600 is a huge difference. But what made it amazing was his attitude and the shop staff themselves. See- before we took our car to Ray we had someone else take a look and when putting the back wheel back on they messed up a bearing (or something like that). Ray got the car up for us and took my husband and I in back under the car and walked us through what went wrong and how to fix it. He then got us a great rental car for nearly nothing and even better handled my very hungry 2 and 5 year old great when we came to get the car the next day. The other shops we talked to were going to have our car for 6-10 days and Ray did it in 1, didn't screw it up, didn't lie, and I wont go anywhere else. more

The biggest problem with him was lack of communication...he never called me, I always had to check in with him...he had my car on 4 different occasions and never did fix what I originally brought it in for, he actually made it worse and couldn't believe I dare question him! He was far too defensive and wouldn't listen to what I was trying to tell him, if he would have, he would have understood the issue, but instead he just goes on about how he won't be talked to like this....I was being perfectly calm because I've learned it really is easier to catch flies with honey instead of vinegar! I wanted to give him the opportunity to correct his mistake before I got upset, but he just wouldn't listen. While he did fix some things, I went in there to have a door lock fixed and he lost the little parts that went inside so it wouldn't work at all and told me I had to replace the entire master switch more

Ray the owner/manager has been the source for all my car repairs for years. There is no glitz or glamor to his business, just isolating any and all problems and getting the job done to perfection. If there's ever a follow-up issue, he stands behind his work and warranties. Everyone needs an establishment with quality mechanics and this is the one. His business is solid and he has a large clientele following. So be patient if possible to get scheduled in for repairs, it won't be a regret. more

Nice having a mechanic around that actually cares about your safety rather than just making money. Thanks for telling me what I can do to make my car drive better this winter. The other guys wanted $60 just to tell me what they would need to fix. more
