Customer Service Here Is Better Than Livermore 7/24/2009

Located right off Hopyard at I-580, this Home Depot is next to Starbucks and FedEx/Kinkos. Service is a little better here compared to the Home Depot in Livermore. more

Home Depot kitchen cabinets-beware 3/3/2008

We ordered kitchen cabinets from Home Depot and after waiting 30 days, they delievered them to our house. Two of the cabinets were the wrong ones so we went back to the store and the salesman admited he ordered the wrong ones. He said to bring them back and talk to the manager and they would wave the 15% restocking fee. If we had any problems he said he would talk to the manger for us. We brought the cabinets back and spent 2 hours talking to 3 different managers. The salesman wasn't there to back us up. They took back the cabinets and charged us the 15% but said they would talk to the salesman when he came back to work. 1 week later he came back to work. The manager, a different one, called me and said the salesman told him a differnt story than ours and he would not give us back our 15%. I told him I would come down there and talk the salesman myself but he said no, that wouldn't work. Pros: Close to home Cons: Incompetence-Very bad customer service-unethical salespersons more

SLOW, Expensive and You're Treated Like A Number 6/5/2007

Not to complain too much but I'm annoyed with Home Depot and their slow service. My most recent experience was with my granite counter tops. I got a quote from them after waiting around in the store for about an hour. I think I heard the sale reps say a total of 10 words to me and then I was given a quote. By the time I was done looking over the quote, the sales reps was helping someone else. Funny how it took me 1 hour to get some help and it took the other guy 5 minutes. Since this was the first place I checked out I didn't know if the quote was low or high. Two days later I drove past a store in Walnut Creek selling granite and got a quote for the same color. I was a little shocked to tell you the truth. The quote was about $2000 less than Home Depot's quote. Long story short, I went with the other company. I just finished writing a review for the granite company I went with and I thought I'd also put in my two cents on Home Depot. Save your time and avoid Home Depot. This wasn't my first bad experience with Home Depot, but it will certainly be my last. Pros: There's A Lot of Stuff There Cons: Where To Start?: Prices, Service, Ethics... more

Good Selection, AWFUL Service.... 4/5/2007

The Home Depot has a nice selection and good prices but the WORST customer service around. We have gone to The Home Depot Pleasanton store numerous times during our home remodeling. We have never had anyone ask us if we needed help with something. You always have to chase someone down to help you....and I mean literally chase. They seem to walk around the corner and hide when they see someone coming to ask a question. And they never have enough lanes open to check people out because they want you to use their ""self check-out"" lanes. Well ""self check-out"" at Home Depot is a joke. Try doing self checkout with a stack of lumber or bags of cement....not gonna happen. My suggestion...go to Lowes instead...they are much more helpful. more

Made a Mistake but Made Up for It 6/29/2006

We ordered a set kitchen cabinets there and we found out it the measurements were wrong the day before the cabinets were delivered. The sales associate went out of his way to rush reorder the cabinets we needed and even delivered them to our house himself. Due to his quick corrective actions to his honest mistake, our kitchen project stayed on schedule. While the massive company may bog you down, the people there honestly try to take care of you, the customer. Pros: Large selection, locations everywhere Cons: Dusty, Dusty, Dusty more
