Should be a Five Star Hotel! 5/20/2008

My family has stayed in some really nice hotels around the U.S. We usually enjoy staying in 4 or 5 star hotels. One of our stays was at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhatten. This hotel, the Davenport Tower, is comparable to the Waldorf as far as service. Actually, the Davenport's is better. The average age of the workers we could see at the Davenport was 22 years old; yet, they behaved more professionally and sincerely than people much older in some of these 4 star hotels or even 5 stars. The workers at the Waldorf had a certain ""air"" to them, which is totallly unnecessary in order to give great service, as proven at the Davenport. The Davenport was recently rennovated and its decor and very contemporary amenities were to die for! I'd come back in a heartbeat to this place. In fact, we are planning a golf trip to Spokane next year! Pros: Service, Price, Amenities, Room Quality more

Very nice experience! 3/2/2007

We stayed at the Davenport three times before moving to Spokane and each time had a very positive experience. The room are large, beds comfy, and the staff is friendly. The hotel common areas are gorgeously rennovated to keep their historic integrity. I'd recommend staying at the Davenport to anyone who wants an upscale hotel experience in Spokane. Pros: Large rooms, comfy beds, nice shower more

nicest digs in Spokane 1/23/2005

I was excited when the Davenport reopened -- it has a very interesting history and is an integral part of Spokane's development. It's lovely and has a delightful turn of the cnetury baroque kind of feeling. The rooms are comfortable and the amenities and options were pleasing and ample. However, if you are expecting polished and refined service, you may be disappointed. Service was not poor, but it didn't match its surroundings. I would recommend a stay there if you are passing though or celebrating. more

Luxurious and Historical! 11/10/2004

First things first: the BEDDING at the Davenport is the best I've ever slept on! We actually purchased the sheet set in their boutique downstairs after getting the best, softest, most comfortable night's sleep in a long time. The hotel is a dream of romantic whimsy and historical charm ~ highly recommended for romantic couples and conventions alike!!!!! Pros: Bedding!, Charm & History, Cleanliness more

The Best 4/7/2004

I had no idea that Spokane had such a fine hotel! A friend of mine came to town for a convention and I dropped by to visit. It was utterly fantastic. The prices were not as high as I would have expected for such a place. The rooms were clean, elegant and comfy. The service was top notch and the turn down service includes soft peanut brittle. I would recommend this hotel above every other place in town. more
