When I first saw Dr. Mahootchi, my eyesight was very poor. I could not read normal print without my glasses and a magnifying glass and I was converting my computer files to 24 point type to be able to read them. I couldn’t see well enough to drive. I had been a competitive clay shooter but could no longer see the targets clearly. Dr. Mahootchi found that I had several problems – some, but not all, the result of diabetes issues. Over a period of time, I had several procedures such as laser, cataract surgery and corneal debridement. Dr. Mahootchi and his staff explained each process to me and were very supportive so that any anxiety I initially felt disappeared as my confidence in the team grew. They were professional and supportive. Now, my eyes are better than they have been in years. I have resumed all activities and once again wearing contact lenses. I am clay shooting again and hitting targets. I even have better control of my diabetes thanks to the concern and support of Dr. Mahootchi. I recently had cataract eye surgery done by Dr. A. Mahootchi at the Eye Clinic of Florida, located in Zephyrhills. I had the Crystalens implated in my right eye and I am amazed at how my vision has improved. Now I am able to read and see at a distance without my glasses or contact lens. The surgery was pain free and afterward I didn't experience any discomfort. The Clinic was clean and the staff was well organized, friendly but yet professional. They explained everything in a clear and precise manner before each procedure and answered all my questions. Highly recommend Dr. Mahootchi for any type of eye surgery. I was very nervous last week...although aware of procedure as totally explained, my heart was beating fast. Trust me when I say, there is no pain, and it is like looking into a Kaleidoscope. Medication relaxes you and prepares the eye for procedure. In less than fifteen minutes it is over and you say "Is that all there is"? : ) I go next Tuesday for surgery in Left eye this time. I am not nervous for I know what to expect. The surgical center is a beautiful clean building with caring professionals. Go for the procedure, you will be glad you did....I know I am. Dr. Mahootchi removed the cataracts from my left eye on June 9th and from my right eye the following week. This was done on Gall Blvd. No trips to Tampa, Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey. Two years post-cataract surgery, pesky floaters in one eye hampered most everything I did; driving, reading, TV.....it seemed as if I had a "blob of gunk" floating back and forth across my field of vision all my waking hours. Dr. Mahootchi suggested a Vitrectomy......it was done at the Same Day Surgery Center, took less than 20 minutes and I was out of the Center in under an hour! Recently I had left Cataract surgery with Crystal lens implant and within 26 hour post op at my 1st Physician check I was able to see more clearly both near and intermediate. I was amazed! At 3 days post op I am so pleased at the clarity of color and crispness of vision and range of vision I have. More so however, the service I received both in the office and at the outpatient center were extraordinary. The staffs were efficient, professional, and personable and despite the evident fact of other patients present. All staff rendered care leaving you with the feeling of importance while administering all care from the first visit where my Insurance was verified and precertification obtained to discharge instructions and post op phone call to check to determine how I was doing. I have not had even a twinge of discomfort or a red mark on the eye to evidence a procedure occurred. I am eager to schedule my right eye cataract procedure and have great vision. Five years ago I was a patient of DR and had CK with great results. He is my recommendation to anyone requiring vision care. He and his staff are 100%! Thank you DR. Mahoochi! I recently had a left Cataract extraction and lens implant by Dr Mahootchi at the Eye Clinic of Florida in Zephyrhills, Fl. After searching the Internet for Opthalmologists who perform the Crystalens implant, I found Dr Mahootchi, whose pricing was competitive and had exceptional experience. I was willing to drive two hours from my home to get his opinion about the feasability of the Crystalens for both my eyes, having already had a Cataract extraction in my right eye two years earlier. I am a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesist) and have worked with many Opthalmologists over the years, and even so, I was impressed by the thoroughness of the exam and the way Dr Mahootchi, and his assistant Anna, caringly worked with me; explaining the options available. During the exam of my right eye he found I had developed a capsule of scar tissue around the previous lens implant and recommended a Capsulotomy, using a YAG Laser in order to improve my vision in this eye. His staff was able to obtain immediate approval from my insurance company and he performed the procedure that very same day. The subsequent cataract extraction was performed flawlessly and I am thrilled with my new improved vision from both my eyes. I love the results. I am extremely pleased. I was always made to feel at ease during my visits and not as part of any "assembly line" practice. Their motto is "outstanding service" and they certainly live up to it. i would like to take this opportunity to recommend Dr. Ahad Mahootchi to anyone who is considering cataract surgery and lens replacement.. I needed cataract and lens replacement surgery and happened to mentioned it to my golfing partner he informed me that he had the same surgery right here in our hometown of Zephyrhills florida at the Eye Clinic of Florida and he was completely satisfied with his results, of course you can't be dissatisfied with 20/20 vison. I had cataract surgery on both eyes by Dr. Mahootchi at The Eye Clinic of Florida in Zephyrhills, FL. I have been going to Dr. Mahootchi for several years for my eye care. The support staff was very caring and friendly. They informed you of everything they were doing. The after surgery care was excellent. I had Laser vision correction with Dr. Mahootchi. I researched different doctors and laser centers and felt very confident with him and his staff. He was very professional and detailed in explaining everything. I drove all the way from South Tampa to have Lasik with Dr. Mahootchi. The procedure went extremely well and I am so happy with the results. Definitely would recommend the Eye Clinic of Florida to anyone looking to have Lasik! I wish I had done this years ago! I originally went to the Florida Eye Clinic due to an emergency. In an attempt to be seen quickly, I had made several phone calls to other eye clinics in my area. Florida Eye Clinic was very understanding of my dilemma. My initial contact with Florida Eye Clinic was met with concern and empathy. Although never seen in the office before, they told me to come in right away. Dr. Mahootchi examined me and determined that I had shingles in my eye and immediately began treatment. While being treated for shingles a cataract developed, which is not uncommon. Dr. Mahootchi recommended cataract surgery. I was given the option of a Crystalens, which I chose. The moment I had cataract surgery and the implantation of the Crystalens my eyesight was improved drastically! I no longer have to wear glasses. My vision is now 20/20. I would highly recommend Florida Eye Clinic for any eye predicament that may occur. Dr. Mahootchi and his staff are friendly, professional and efficient. I was very satisfied with my 2 laser surgeries. One for after- cataract surgery clouding of my lens capsule and the other for floaters. Staff was great. I see much better and my floaters are 95% better. I would recommend Dr. Mahootchi and the Eye Clinic of Florida to anyone in Wesley Chapel or around Tampa. I recently underwent Crystalens surgery done by Dr. Mahootchi at The Eye Clinic of Florida in Zephyrhills. What a wonderful experience! I am a previous RK patient and the vision in right eye had deteriorated to the point where it was of no use to me whatsoever. That's where Dr. Mahootchi and his team came to my rescue. I live in the Tampa Bay area (Lakeland), but found it well worth my while to travel to Zephyrhills because of the excellent patient care and professional expertise I experienced at the hands of The Eye Clinic of Florida. The Crystalens replacement is usually done for cataracts, but in my case, and others like me, it gave me back the vision I'd lost after previous refractive surgery...I was seeing 20/30 the morning after surgery AND I can now read newsprint without glasses! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and caring...giving me written instructions and clear direction at each office visit. I cannot praise Dr. Mahootchi and his team enough...I feel like I've doubly increased my quality of life now that I can see clearly without the hassle of ever-changing eye glass prescriptions and contact lenses. I have experienced no pain or negative side effects and most definitely recommend the Crystalens surgery (and The Eye Clinic of Florida) to anyone.
