Dr Mahootchi has taken care of my eyes for many years. I would not trust my eyes with anyone else. He is on the cutting edge of technology and the staff at the eye clinic of fl. are courteous, friendly and accommodating. On 2011 I was diagnosed with glaucoma. Dr Mahootchi successfully treated one of my eyes to slow the progression of glaucoma utilizing laser surgery in 2013. My glaucoma was found to be progressing in both eyes in November 2014. That December Dr Mahootchi removed cataracts from my right eye by replacing the lens with crystal end and addressed the glaucoma as well by placing a trabecular micro bypass stent. The same procedure for my left eye was preformed in January 2015. One week after having each stent I no longer needed to use prescribed eye drops. My eye pressure is now in the normal range. The stents will prevent further damage to my eyes for years. Also due to crystalens I no longer use glasses even when looking at the computer screen. more

Ahad Mahootchi, MD is a board-certified opthalmologist who diagnosed a very dense, mature cataract in my left eye. Immediately upon arriving at his office, I was greeted warmly by the doctor and his knowledgable staff. After explaining my options, the staff scheduled me for surgery the following week. Surgery was completely pain free, and post op care was wonderful. I can now see clearly from my formerly blind left eye. Dr. Mahootchi's is a state-of-the-art, turn key facility, providing virtually every service related to eye care. AND, he's a babe !
