We went to this restaurant on our first day in San Francisco because it was close to the hotel where we were staying. It has a catchy name, and we love the whole English pub experience.
Perhaps we went at a slow time, because in spite of being the only customers for the first part of the lunch rush we had to wait forever for someone to take our order. There was someone busy setting the rest of the empty tables, though, so perhaps they do better with larger crowds.
Anyway, the food was slow to arrive, and we had to go to the bar ourselves to get more water and drinks. The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. For that part of San Francisco, though, the prices were reasonable for the food served.
Pros: Good grilled cheese sandwich
Cons: Slow service at lunch
