The Dog Resort in SODO is truly a stellar place for doggie daycare. I am a retired person, (major Dog Lover & daughter of a veterinarian) who moved to Seattle with my son and hi...

Thank you so much for taking such good care of my black lab. Everyone was awesome. more

home away from home 11/17/2011

I have been boarding our three dogs since The Dog Resort opened. We are so pleased that we have such a fine place in which to leave our 3 babies, and consider it their home away from home. more

Loves his play days! 11/15/2011

My one year old Bichon, absolutely loves his play days at The Dog Resort. He has a blast, it's great exercise, and I've noticed a real positive change in his self-confidence and socialization skills. Little dogs rule!! more

He vacations too! 11/14/2011

My dog has boarded with The Dog Resort twice this year. I love the kennel space and activities available here. It feels great to know when my family vacations, my dog gets to vacation too. We get to interact with different people on vacation while he boards. However, he gets to interact with other dogs while enjoying his vacation at The Dog Resort. more

Worst Dog Kennel 11/9/2011

We brought our dog to the The Dog Resort for a three day stay while we were on vacation. When we picked him up he was scared, looked thin, smelled horrible and had lacerations on all four feet. We had to take him to the vet and pay vet bills. Mona, the owner, refused to give us any money back from an expensive package we bought and we had to take our dog to another kennel, crown hill vet where we had a very good experience, but in the end had to waste a lot of money on the dog resort. We would never use the dog resort again and we do not recommend them to anyone who wants to keep their dog safe. more

Compassionate People 10/26/2011

I would like to thank The Dog Resort for their loyal, compassionate, trustworthy care for my dog. My dog adores spending time at The Dog Resort and has the time of his life on a daily basis. more

She's Like A Puppy Again 10/26/2011

I have been living in the area for a while with my seven year old Cockapoo, Cocoa. As my days got longer at work, dog daycare was my only choice, which is something I wasn't too comfortable doing since she is the love of my life. The Dog Resort won over Cocoa's heart and is even like a puppy again. more

FANTASTIC 10/25/2011

Over the course of the past year, I have entrusted two whippets and a German shepherd to The Dog Resort every time I travel. I have only experienced caring, attentive and professional attention from their staff and owners, who are very hands-on with the business. They stay in touch with you by phone if there are any concerns (better safe than sorry). They pay special attention to older pets and make sure they are comfortable and happy, away from more boisterous youngsters that might create stress or anxiety. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this business to anyone, they are FANTASTIC. more

Plently Of Space For The Dogs 10/24/2011

I absolutely love The Dog Resort! I've tried many places around Seattle and The Dog Resort is the only place that my dog seems satisfied and happy with. There is plenty of space and land for the dogs and the staff is so great and caring. more

Enjoy Spending The Day Here 10/21/2011

Tawny & Rusty have missed their weekly daycare visits to The Dog Resort and will be absolutely ecstatic when they learn that they'll be going back to The Dog Resort on a regular basis starting in November! They absolutely love spending the day here! Tawny literally drags me down the block when she realizes where we're headed. more

Love The Staff 10/19/2011

Love the staff and care my Golden Doodle gets at The Dog Resort. I have a high energy dog and this facility allows her to get the exercise she needs while boarding there. more

Great place to take your dog! 10/13/2011

The staff takes excellent care of my baby! They definitely have a passion for dogs and do a great job of keeping control of what could very easily be a chaotic situation. I know she loves it too because every time we drive by she gets excited! When we drop her off she is happy and when we pick her up she is also happy! Great place to take your dog! more

The Best 9/27/2011

The best part about this place is picking up my dog and seeing how tired she is and just passes out for the rest of the night. It's a great way to make sure she has plenty of opportunities to socialize with other dogs and also not worry about her for the day. Doggie day care has also given us an easy way to figure out what to do when we go away for vacation. No trying to find someone to pet sit, or try something risky and worrisome, like a dog kennel. Instead, we know she is happy and cared for and it's all so affordable. Another great thing they offer is Doggy Excursions which we will be trying soon. more

Happy pup = Happy owner 9/2/2011

Took my little dachshund here for a doggie meetup today, so i thought i would review the place!! If I were reviewing it solely based on where we were (in a smallish outdoor fenced area with no grass/ nothing for the dogs to play on) I'd probably give it three stars....But since i try to be fair, I'll rate it based on what I observed in the whole place and how the staff members I met acted. The Dog Resort seems like a really cute place for pets, and has some fun indoor areas for doggies to play and individual indoor sections (not kennels hooray!) they can stay in overnight. Seems like a nice facility, and I know they have a great following in town. anyways, my pup had fun,and that is worth the five stars to me :) more

Excellent boarding, helped socialize our puppy 8/29/2011

We adopted a 7 month old doberman/greyhound mix three weeks prior to our great experience at The Dog Resort. She was doing great with people, but was reactive with other dogs (barking, lunging to get to them). We had planned a weekend away long before we adopted our dog and since other dogs would be joining us, we needed to board her for the weekend. We emailed to ask if they are able to accommodate dogs like ours. Mona responded quickly and thoroughly saying that yes, they did board dogs that were reactive. In addition, she offered to work on socializing our pup while we were away, explained that she had worked with many dogs like ours before, and that she thought she could help with this issue. She also gave us many options including boarding our pup at her home or keeping our dog separated from other dogs the whole time. I called and spoke with Robert, the manager of The Dog Resort, who answered all my questions and clearly had a keen understanding of dogs and socialization. We were very clear that we did not want her to have negative associations with interacting with other dogs and Robert assured us that they are very careful about that. When we dropped her off, we saw many dogs enjoying the outdoor area and indoor spaces. Many of the staff present were holding or petting other dogs. Our dog was barking/lunging, as per usual because she saw other dogs. Robert came and met her and said he thought she would do just fine. When we returned from our trip, we were thrilled to see our puppy running around with several other dogs, all sizes and ages! Robert reported that she really just wanted to play with other dogs and that she acclimated very quickly. He said she would still bark occasionally, but that she did great all weekend. He also gave us tips for helping her with this when out walking on a leash. We were very hesitant to board our puppy so soon after we adopted her, but really could not risk bringing her along and having difficulties with the other dogs present. We were extremely pleased with the service at The Dog Resort, particularly with the fact that they did not just accommodate our situation, they offered to help and improved the situation dramatically. We will definitely board her there in the future and might take her to daycare there too (the only reason we might not is that it is very far away from our home). more

The Dog Resort is awesome 7/21/2011

I always know my dog will be well taken care of at the Dog Resort. I recently had an out of town family emergency and they went above and beyond to help our family. Not only did they take our dog in at the last minute but they came to our house to pick him up to save us some time and help make our day a little easier. The owner, Mona, picked him up at 7:30 on a Saturday morning after recieving my panicked call. I appreciate the staff for being so caring and flexible to our needs. Our dog loves to go to the Dog Resort. He gets so excited when we drive up and pulls us to the door. He always comes home tired from playing all day. I feel really good about it when we leave him there. more

I give The Dog Resort 10 stars!!! 7/17/2011

I have to admit my dog is more like my child than a dog to me. She goes everywhere with me, even to work as I own my own business. She is rarely out of my sight. Yes, I am one of those gushy moms who is over protective. I recently had to go out of town on short notice to tend to a family crisis. I had never boarded Daisy and was a little distraught about the prospect of having to leave her with strangers. I am new to Seattle and don't know many people, so I didn't have anyone I could leave her with. I had to catch a flight first thing the next day and with the sudden crisis to deal with and the stress of having to find a trustworthy care provider for Daisy on short notice, I was distraught to say the least. In fact, when I spoke to Mona, the owner, who I couldn't believe even answered the phone at that hour, I broke down in tears, which was embarrassing to say the least. Mona treated me with an unexpected level of kindness and compassion. She told me not to worry about Daisy and to think of her as her doggy nanny and Daisy's surrogate auntie. I didn't know her and was a little taken aback by this, but felt a great sense of relief at the same time. Mona drove to my house that evening to pick up Daisy and her things. It was 12:15 in the morning. When I met Mona, a wave of relief washed over me. Daisy took to her immediately and even gave her a kiss, which she rarely does even to people she knows, let alone strangers. With Daisy and her things packed away in her car she told me not to worry and to focus on my early morning flight and taking care of myself and my family. She didn't even mention payment! I was gone for 8 days and Daisy spent her days at the daycare and her nights in Mona's home with her two dogs (as this is what I preferred). She had Daisy's shots up-dated and took care of everything. When I picked Daisy up, she was happy, healthy and clean. While I may not need to board Daisy again for some time, I can say for certain, that there is no one else that I will trust to care for her as much as I do Mona and her crew at The Dog Resort. In this day and age, this level of service is a rare find. The Dog Resort exceeded this picky moms expectations. The Dog Resort is top notch. I highly recommend The Dog Resort! more

The Dog Resort puts a smile on my dogs face! 7/13/2011

My dog has a wonderful time at The Dog Resort He gets happy when we pull into the driveway and always has a smile on his face when I pick him up. The place is clean, the service is great and the rates are unbeatable. I highly recommend this place! more

The only place I'd ever take my dog... 5/10/2011

We have been bringing our dog Scout to The Dog Resort for just over 4 months now. We actually planned on taking our previous dog Lucky to daycare, but he sadly passed away in December. When we adopted our new dog Scout, we brought him straight away to the daycare to ask Mona if she would be willing to take him. Scout is a pit bull, and being fully aware of the stigma that plagues this amazing breed, we thought it best to check first. Mona welcomed Scout with open arms and we are thrilled to be able to bring him there. more

BEST PLACE EVER! 3/2/2011

From the compassionate employees to the clean and safe environment I found this place to be the perfect spot for my rescue dog. more
