Review content:
I have to admit my dog is more like my child than a dog to me. She goes everywhere with me, even to work as I own my own business. She is rarely out of my sight.
Yes, I am one of those gushy moms who is over protective.
I recently had to go out of town on short notice to tend to a family crisis. I had never boarded Daisy and was a little distraught about the prospect of having to leave her with strangers. I am new to Seattle and don't know many people, so I didn't have anyone I could leave her with.
I had to catch a flight first thing the next day and with the sudden crisis to deal with and the stress of having to find a trustworthy care provider for Daisy on short notice, I was distraught to say the least. In fact, when I spoke to Mona, the owner, who I couldn't believe even answered the phone at that hour, I broke down in tears, which was embarrassing to say the least.
Mona treated me with an unexpected level of kindness and compassion. She told me not to worry about Daisy and to think of her as her doggy nanny and Daisy's surrogate auntie. I didn't know her and was a little taken aback by this, but felt a great sense of relief at the same time.
Mona drove to my house that evening to pick up Daisy and her things. It was 12:15 in the morning. When I met Mona, a wave of relief washed over me. Daisy took to her immediately and even gave her a kiss, which she rarely does even to people she knows, let alone strangers.
With Daisy and her things packed away in her car she told me not to worry and to focus on my early morning flight and taking care of myself and my family. She didn't even mention payment!
I was gone for 8 days and Daisy spent her days at the daycare and her nights in Mona's home with her two dogs (as this is what I preferred). She had Daisy's shots up-dated and took care of everything.
When I picked Daisy up, she was happy, healthy and clean.
While I may not need to board Daisy again for some time, I can say for certain, that there is no one else that I will trust to care for her as much as I do Mona and her crew at The Dog Resort.
In this day and age, this level of service is a rare find. The Dog Resort exceeded this picky moms expectations. The Dog Resort is top notch. I highly recommend The Dog Resort!
