I've been going to The Cooler for several years and I can say that it only gets better as each year passes. It's known mainly as a sports bar, but it really is a different place depending on the day or even the time of day. As a sports bar you won't find better. There really isn't a bad seat in the place. With well over 10 large TV's positioned around the entire bar you'll always have a great view. If by chance the biggest game of the day is not on a TV by your table or one of the plush couches lining the wall, no worries, it will most likely be playing on the 8 to 10 foot TV that drops from the ceiling. This TV is viewable from every seat other than the toilet. On Gamedays The Cooler is busy by 7 am for a good reason. Duck fans congregate for breakfast and drinks that are served by the tremendous staff. Whether there are 10 patrons in the bar or several hundred I've never noticed a change in service. You rarely have to wait for drink. After the game the majority of the fans at Autzen show up to celebrate or drink to next weeks game. Tables, a portbale bar, and BBQ s are set up outiside to those who rather be outdoors. Visiting team fans are also always welcome, and often show up as word has spread throughout the PAC-10 about The Cooler's gameday festivities. However, this place is not just a sportsbar. In the off season Friday and Saturday nights have become one of the campus hotspots, featuring live music, DJ's, dancing, or just pool and plenty of drinks. If your out of college and pushing your 30's or 40's, this place is still for you. There is always a diverse crowd with one thing in common, drinks and a great time. Bottom line: Service is Great, Food is Great, Atmosphere is all about fun and drinks no matter what the day or customer age, and on gameday there is no comparison.\r
