Best

Im writing this in response to the other reviews written on here. I am extremely sorry for any bad experiences anyone has had at The Cat Hospital of Auburn. I am however pleased...

Worst

I had to laugh at the lady under me's response about the cranky ladies at the front desk.....I KNOW exactly what you mean hahaha......One in particular "June" was a nightmare to w...

Not for the hard times we are having.. 3/17/2009

They took me in on an emergency, but because I don't have allot of money only gave me min care and my cat died anyway. They made it sound like they were doing everything they could to save it. She was there 3 hours and died. My bill was way over 350.00. And then they called me a few weeks later to try to get me to come back, they must be hurting for business if they are calling us poor folk. Pros: none that I can think of Cons: my cat died anyway... more

Break Out Your Wallet 9/14/2008

Yes, the Auburn Cat Hospital is great , but you need a pile of cash to walk through the door! I know people don't want to put a price on their pets, but others of us have to, esp. with the terrible economy! I paid my vet bill of $392.00 for my 2 cats, but I am going to look for more affordable veterinarian services! I am a resonable person meaning you get what you pay for, but come on...I'm not going to take my cats to the ghetto, but I do not want to be taken to the cleaners! more

Great Clinic, Knowledgeable Care 3/28/2008

I took my cat to the Auburn Cat Hospital for treatment of hyperthyroid. They handled the treatment excellently, were flexible with his and my needs and took the time to explain everything to me. It's a nice, low stress environment for cats, as there are no dogs barking as at most vets. If I lived closer I would definately bring my cats here for everything. more

avoid the cat hospital 11/11/2007

I read the other reviews and I'm shocked there are not more. I brought my cat to the hospital last week, and was thrown for a loop when my bill was more than my car payment. I asked the desk staff and was told " It is, what it is." I asked for the doctor to call me, I have waited six days. He didn't tell me prices, he didn't have my permission to do the tests he did. I have heard others complain, now I know why. The lack of care and large bills by this Dr. are sickening. Can someone do something about it? I don't know why Dr. Williams left, I hope she knows about the reputation it has now that she has gone and this guy is here. Pros: None, anymore. Cons: The Male Doctor more

Worsed feeling in the world, to put a cat in this guys hands. 7/23/2007

I am a client of the hospital, I brought my cat in for throwing up and was told he would be fine ,I bought meds all of which my cat threw up after taking, I called back and was sent toTufts. Pros: None here. Cons: I don't have enough room to fill this section. more

Worsed feeling in the world, to put a cat in this guys hands. 7/22/2007

I am a client of the hospital, I brought my cat in for throwing up and was told he would be fine ,I bought meds all of which my cat threw up after taking, I called back and was sent toTufts. The man at the hospital didn't seem to care less with the concerns that I had , So I took my cat to another Vet and was told he needed surgery and they couldn't do it but my Vet could ,So back to the hospital I went and was told but the Dr. that since Dr. Williams was gone there was noone in the building who knew how to do surgery , which I don't understand because a friend of mine just had a major surgery done on her cat. So I questioned this and the Dr. said " Well I personally don't feel comfortable recommending her " So off I went to Tufts and told them the whole story. I would not take my cat back there again. This Dr. was cold and He was very unfeeling toward my situation. But had no issue with the huge bill I had to pay for nothing ( no answers , no comfort or HOPE.) I will tell anyone who asks not to go to that hospital. God help the animals in auburn who depend on this hospital. Pros: None here. Cons: I don't have enough room to fill this section. more

Avoid this Cat Hospital 6/27/2007

I have used the Cat Hospital of Auburn for several years. Only one doctor there knows what she is doing and she sold the business and moved out of state. The remaining Vets have little experience or knowledge beyond well visits. I took a cat in that was sick and was told to put it to sleep or let it die on its own. I paid to euthanize it and later learned that my cat didn't have to die it could have been treated. These doctors could not care any less about your pet. They are rude and cold and have chips on their shoulders. One of the staff there even told me that the new "silent owners" only care about making money. Pros: Can't think of even one at this time Cons: The doctors do not have the knowledge they should have. more

There are better Vets out there who do care and will seak out information to answer your questions. Do yourself a favor and void the Cat Hospital of Auburn. If your cat needs radioactive iodine treatments go to The Animal Hospital in Westfield, MA Pros: Can't think of even one at this time Cons: The doctors do not have the knowledge they should have. more

Good clinic, friendly service, great attention to detail 11/3/2005

This is a great clinic for cat care. I've even used them as a kennel for my cats when I had to go on a business trip and was very pleased. Their staff is friendly and helpful and they offer a great selection of supplies as well. I found their prices to be a bit high but overall, the service is very good so it evens out. Good location too, easy to reach and ample parking. more
