Unbelievable lack of compassion and customer service 10/9/2013

14 years ago the Cat Doctor came to my home the next evening after a call for euthanasia, could not have been kinder or more compassionate. My present cat has been diagnosed, and sadly, if we love her, we have to let her go. I called the Cat Doctor again, to spare her the trauma of the office visit. I asked for cost for the service; was put on hold and then was told that the Dr was booked for 3 months for house calls (was never given a price at all). I stated my surprise that she would not have a few spots held in reserve for sick animals that might not be able to arrange not to be sick for 3 months, and was told, 'we haven't seen you for 14 years; any spots we reserve would be for people who come here.' wow. My beloved pet is dying and that is what you can manage? more

I took my cat to the vet and she got sicker... 9/21/2010

I just took my new cat to the Cat Doctor because she was sneezing all the time. They said she "probably" had an upper respirtory infection, so they gave me some medicine which they said would take care of it. After two days on the medicine my cats gums were so swollen that part of her mouth couldn't even close. Now after i called them and told them what happened they wanted me to bring her back and pay another $50 dollars just to look at it to tell me what happened. Then they want me to cover the extra costs because they put her on the wrong medicine. I fully understand that responsibilites of having a cat and I know that I am responsible for her. But by taking my cat to the vet, she ended up getting even sicker because now she isn't better from the upper respitory infection or the swollen gums yet. I will not be going back. more

Compassionate care! 4/10/2009

I've used the Cat Doctor for almost 10 years now. I've always received knowledge, professional and compassionate care for my cats. I've had wellness care, illness care, vaccinations, and emergency care. It was all top notch. Dr. Christiansen has always been patient and calming to my kitties.\r The office and waiting area are always clean and comfortable. I've never smelled any unpleasant odors including cat pee. There are smells of the various bags of dry cat food she has for sale and of course medications and cleansers from the consultation rooms. \r Her prices are right in line with any other quality vet clinic. I think some people forget that vet. medication and diagnostic procedures cost just as much as those for humans.\r I've had cats my entire life and can say with certainty that Dr. Christiansen offers top quality and professional care for cats. \r I'd confidently recommend her services to anyone. more

My cat 3/22/2009

I have boarded my cats in their place for about 2.5 years and paid about $10,000 over that period for boarding and other care combined. In my last visit, I paid $809 and after I was told that there was a problem with my cat skin and happened the night before I picked her up. My cat was returned to me with a red lesion on her back with hair loss. When I asked the vet what hand why happened she got angry with me for blaming her and she threw the files to ground and yell at me and asked me to take my cats leave and do not come back. Instead of explaining or promising to treat my cat. She threw me out with my cats after I I I paid $809. I had to go to another hospital to find out what happened. I I am planning to file an official claim against the vet ( owner). First of all, you cannot treat your clients who pay almost $10,000 over 2 years and the vet should take the any accountability over what happened to my cat. Now I am seeing another vet with the unknown skin problem that happened in more

Awesome Vet! 2/12/2009

I took my last cat there for six years and have always been impressed with the quality and care. After my cat passed away (she was suffering from kidney failure), they let me stay with her for a while, gave me some resources for pet grief support groups, and even sent me a sympathy card.\r \r I have also used their boarding facilities, which are always clean and comfortable. I won't take my cats anywhere else. more

Great experience 8/27/2008

The Cat Doctor's expertise is unmatched. Even the admissions staff are extremely knowledgeable people who obviously love cats. They know our cats and have been a font of useful tips on any topic we have ever had reason to ask about.\r \r The Cat Doctor does suffer from a cumbersome super-duper computer information system and using it correctly is obviously not the core area of staff competence. Checking out and scheduling can be a little slow. It's more than offset by the great care our cats have received. more

The Cat Doctor is not the place anyone should go to 10/20/2007

Dr Christensen was screaming at the staff, with her arms flying and jumping up and down because the food and toy was not put in the right place, the receptionist was crying. Big deal so move it, I thought. The atmosphere was terrible. As soon as you walk in it smells like pee, I thought I would gag. They could not find my file for 20 minutes so they ducked under the desk , where they hiding or is that where they file them on the floor? nice. next the the cat pee. Would not go there EVERY again, she must be on something or she should be on something for her cruelty to people. Her prices where high and the staff was confused with a tech named Lisa yelling at everyone. Nasty place. more

For felines only 7/1/2005

I started taking my two cats to The Cat Doctor last year. She is great! I found her prices extremely resonable, especially for a place specializing in cats. The hours are great since they do have some evening hours. If an appointment is needed, there is never a long wait. The waiting room is more like a living room. Comfy chairs to sit in and the biggest supply of cat toys, beds, and food I've ever seen. A very unique place! more
