I LOVE this place~ 5/13/2009

The food here is so good, so fresh, its easily one of our favorites. I love the cesar burger, my husband loves the seafood, and the kids love the fries. We always save room for the peach cobbler too, it is to die for. Pros: Food, atmosphere, price Cons: Cant think of any... more

Gotta Love It! 5/13/2009

Just found this gem a few months ago and can't get enough. We usually order from the daily specials menu because there are so many things on it that we can't find at other restaurants for the same price...osso bucco, penne w/sausage and tomatoes, steak sandwich... Can't wait to go back again and try something else! Pros: great specials, not a chain, good value Cons: always busy more

A Restaurant you will want to visit often! 2/10/2009

If you have not tried The Brickery you should treat yourself to something special. Try something new to your tastebuds by ordering and devouring the Cesaer Burger for it is awesome. The fried chicken and brisket is also tasty. The chickenpot pie is like nothing you will ever have anywhere else. Did I mention the homemade peach cobbler? We moved to Sandy Springs in October 2007 and discovered this place and it has become a weekly custom to share fellowship with the employees and regular customers. We went in strangers and came out feeling like we had new friends and dare I say an extended family. We are a long way from our roots and our family and this place has been a blessing. I saw the negative review below and I am convinced that someone has confused this delighted entainment for your tastebuds and your soul with another place. Excellent food and Excellent people. Pros: Thumbs up Cons: None more

Long-Time Neighborhood Fave 9/29/2008

This restaurant has been open since the early 90s and is still going strong. That means they're doing something right (actually they're doing many things right). The Brickery has been part of my life since high school. I've eaten there on many occasions with friends, family, and even on dates with my (now) husband. I can't remember a time that I've gone to The Brickery without seeing someone that I know. Their food is like 'home cooking' to me in all the best ways. I absolutely love the chicken tenders, brisket & kugel, and soups. I'm not a seafood eater, but am told that the crab cakes are top-notch and will never forget how much my grandmother loved the fried shrimp. In this time of mega-chains that cater to the least common denominator with frozen or prepackaged food, it is nice to know that there is a family-run place in the neighborhood where I can go for fresh, homemade food. Pros: fresh food, familiy-run, friendly atmosphere Cons: no reservations unless it's a large party more

Top of My List...Every Time! 9/28/2008

The Brickery makes the top of my list every single time. It's the place I take all of my out-of-town guests, family, etc. I meet friends there for lunch all the time. The place is clean & the service is friendly and personable. Regular customers are greeted by name. Heck, I've even seen the bartender pour a regular's drink before he ordered it. Among my favorites are the beef ribs (only a couple of nights a week), the crab cakes, the phenomenal Caesar burger, and the huge salads. I look forward to reading the folksy emails that include special offers that I get from being on the preferred customer list. Bottom line --- this place consistently exceeds expectations and is worth a visit (or ten). Pros: friendly & personable service, great food, preferred customer emails, owners on-site Cons: large crowds, can be noisy more

Terrible 6/28/2008

The Brickery is a terrible place. I would not wish the bad food, dirty restrooms, and inconsiderate employee's on anyone. Despite what the other reviews say, this place will be a waste of your time and therefore your life. It is an all around bad experience. I had the bacon hickory burger and was disgusted. It was smothered in run of the mill, generic hickory bbq sauce. Also, the meat was dry, and the bun soggy. The employee's, despite that it was only four in the afternoon, decided that they should make themselves busy by vacuuming under tables THAT WERE OCCUPIED BY PATRONS!!! Then, I used the restroom, only to find it dirty and grimy with paper towels on the floor, and some kind of liquid by the urinal, that was on the floor. The closest comparison I can think of to it is a restroom at the nasty, no-name gas station that we have all dealt with. And of course, to top it off, they decided to pull the dissapering waitress. We did not see the waitress for the next ten minutes after we had been done for ten minutes anyway. I warn you to avoid this place, because you will be in for an unpleasent surprise if you have seen the great reviews. Pros: None at all! Cons: Anything and everything you can think of that could be bad. more

Awful 4/8/2008

The food leaves much to be desired. The green beans were obviously out of a can and the waiter had a hard time recommending items on the menu. My ""medium"" steak was dry and tasteless. My dining partner also did not like the food. We decided to leave rather than trying alternate dishes - two strikes. more

Fabulous service and food 6/29/2007

We had the Brickery cater our daughter's naming ceremony earlier this month. The food was fabulous and Sally was extremely easy to work with! We didn't want the "traditional" brunch food, and she made sure that the menu was to our taste - mini fried chicken drumettes, angel hair kugel, poached salmon, bruschetta, sweets, etc. The staff arrived on time and were completely professional, efficient, and attentive. They even made sure to check in with my husband and me to be sure that we had gotten something to eat and drink because they knew it was very possible that we wouldn't have gotten a chance to do so. At the end of the event, they cleaned everything up and left clearly labeled leftovers in our fridge. We didn't even need to sweep the kitchen floor! I would highly recommend Brickery Catering and will definitely use them again! Pros: excellent food, prompt and attentive servers more
