Great location if you want to take a shuttle to Universal or have a late night out and not worry about getting home. Free wifi and breakfast. Nice rooms. more

Poor Customer Service and Road Noise 4/9/2011

The rooms were low quality and can hear cars loudly. They people at the front desk are just not service oriented. Upon arrival, our family had to haul our own luggage because the bell man had other priorities.We requested towels by the pool several times, it took them 45 minutes to respond. The shuttle service was unorganized and our family was left at Universal Studies awaiting for a ride back because the shuttle was too full to transport three families. They had a good pizza delivery service and rooms were clean--a little but 'tired' older room. Hotel needs to replace external windows and sound proof. Overall, the front desk was rude and not helpful at all. more

BEWARE - BED BUGS 1/31/2011

Stayed in room 419. The first night there I was attacked by bed bugs. Unlike most people however I have an allergic reaction to bed bug bites thankfully not to the point of anaphylactic shock but severe enough to need prescription antibiotics and rash/bite cream. Since I was on vacation I needed to go to the ER (Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center) to get treatment and basically lost a day of my vacation time and spent the rest of my vacation at another hotel (which I had to pay more for) in pain. more

This place is ok. Not the best I've ever been to, but pretty good. 3 stars. I would definitely check it out if you're in the area, but there's some other cool places to go as well. more

The best week ever! 7/18/2007

I absolutely would recommend this hotel to families. The service is amazing in both the hotel and the restaurant. Everyone was always very welcoming and friendly. I will be back! Pros: customer service,room quality Cons: none, it was all amazing more

I have all my family and friends stay here when they are in town. It has a Disney feel to it. It is in a cozy area. Pros: Safe Area, Cozy, Well Located more

Wrong trend in the wrong place 4/15/2005

"Splash!" is the hotel bar at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn. It is not what you would expect from a hotel bar but rather something you would expect along Ventura Blvd. The music is loud and sometimes obnoxious rock/rap and hip hop. The multiple TV's are great but should be showing sports. The nightclub shares space with a nasty 70's style coffee shop. The worst thing, however, is the $5 it costs to park and the machine doesn't always work! We asked the bartender why the TV's didn't play football and we were told the hotel general manager "doesn't like sports". There is a cool martini on the special drink menu that has a flower floating on it that you can eat! Very cool! Overall, it's never busy and it's too loud. The outside patio is nice with comfy seats but certainly not a place to people watch... more

Opening night of Splash was a blast! The appetizers were fantastic with a wide range to accomodate any palette. The creative drinks were a hit! We spent all night sampling and trying each others drinks to find out our favorite Splash creation. The videos were perfect for the casual lounger or the dance-aholic. Go to Splash!
