The Bark of Our Town Pet Grooming

I really like this groomer, but more importantly, Sampson, our dog likes her. He sheds a lot and it's frustrating to sweep hair off the hardwood floors all the time. The groomer here bathes him really well and although he still sheds a lot, there is a significant difference in the amount. He always looks and smells beautiful when I pick him up. We have been going here every two weeks since we discovered the place. The owner is super social and although I know she has to be exhausted at the end of the day, she remains professional and polite. I highly recommend this groomer more

We have been grooming our dogs at home because we were unable to find a good groomer in the area. That was until we heard about The Bark of Our Town. We were pleasantly surprised on how great our girls looked, and how happy they were after their grooming.You can tell that they really care about the dogs and their customers. Prices and Service are fantastic and we will continue to take our two dogs there. So glad that we won't have to groomed them ourselves anymore. They love Lisa and she loves them!!! :-) more

I have been having my dogs groomed since I got my 1st dog in 1984. You can imagine how many groomers I've met over the last 29 years. Some of them have left cuts on my dogs which was not disclosed to me ( I found them when I petted them). One groomer let her clippers get so hot that she BURNED THE HAIR off their throats. Prior to meeting Lisa, I had been using a mobile groomer who charged me $55 per dog. I now have seven small dogs that need grooming on a regular basis. Lisa was willing to come to my house before she opened her shop to take care of them. I hate to admit that I sometimes I wait too long between grooms and they get extremely matted. She somehow always manages to make them look so cute. If I ask her to ""save a tail or a face"" due to the heavy matting, she always does her best to make sure I am happy. Four of my seven dogs are very difficult to groom. She has shown the utmost patience and professionalism when dealing with them and their owner. Lisa includes free nail trims and sanitary clips between grooms. What other groomer offers that!? If you want a groomer who truly cares about her customers (Both Canine and Human) and does it for a resonable price, I highly recommend THE BARK OF OUR TOWN!. Lisa is by far THE BEST GROOMER I'VE EVER USED. more

I have three dogs. The 2 cockapoos are extremely difficult to have groomed. One is extremely anxious and will not let a groomer near him without being drugged. My other cockapoo had a bad experience and was cut at a groomer in NJ and now becomes extremely aggressive when getting a hair cut. Lisa has been extremely helpful and patient with my dogs. I have had trouble finding the proper medicine to be effective with my dogs. Lisa is very knowledgeable and professional. She was able to handle my dogs and did an excellent job grooming them. She took the utmost care to make sure the dogs were handled safely. I have been back several times and would recommend ""The Bark Of our Town"" to anyone. Whether you have a difficult pet or not you can be sure to get a great cut and a great experience all for a great price. more

With every poor review someone gets there are a ton of more good reviews waiting to be recorded. People fail to disclose all of the facts.....that you would not put their dog at risk-no matter the cost, or that the reason it took so long was because their dog was heavily matted and painfully they wanted to save the coat, or that their poor attitude and rudeness and false accusations were behind all of the actions involved. When someone actually is willing to admit who they are and face off on the facts.......then a review can be given that is true and fair! I look forward to them coming forward and admittedly stating their involvement, their actions or lack of to create the issue for their pet. \r \r I will stand behind my actions as the owner of Bark of Our Town 100% and will be more then happy to discuss any review upon receipt. Safety of your pets is my key concern and I have over 1000 clients to prove it.\r \r In response to length of time for baths-even a small dog-anals, nails, ear plucking/and or cleaning, 2baths and conditioning, massage-while just in tub......then hand drying rather then stuffed in a cage, then final cage drying, walked, watered, classical music to listen too, relaxation, etc. etc......no dog leaves stressed out while here because of how gentle and kind we are to their pet......if that is a negative thing-so be it..especially with dealing with an animal that moves constantly while in grooming/bathing process.....Take care and I look forward to seeing you respectfully soon. While the receptionist/clerk is an extraordinarily nice person, the owner/groomer is a wench of epic proporitions. Within seconds it's easy to tell why she works with animals and not people. Customer service is terrible. Her miserable attitude features chronic interruption, self-righteous indignation, and condescension. Pet grooming average and unwilling to work with difficult pets where the mainstream shops and chain stores are willing to do so.\r \r This business is not long for this world and I encourage potential first-timers to look elsewhere. more
