nice surprise 11/5/2008

We thought this was a little hole in the wall when we first went but was surprised to find the place packed and tastefully decorated!! There's several of them in the desert area and they serve delicious food. The Pad Tai is my favorite, it's excellent. more

Restaurant 9/25/2008

Thai Smile is located in the charming River District in Rancho Mirage. The food is actually good, however the owner is rude and arogant. The service in general is very good and the ambiance is charming. The food is very tasty and the flavors are unique. If you don't have to deal with the owner, you will be sure to return! more

Sweet! But for pad thai? 7/16/2008

The Great Food Will Make You Smile 4/13/2008

Tucked away in a little shopping center on Hwy 111 the Thai Smile was a pleasant surprise. We started with a hotpot of broth, chicken, meats, and vegetables. The spring rolls with the dipping sauce were right on the money. I could have eaten a dozen more of them. Next we shared Pad Thai, Pineapple Rice, and a fresh fish dish with vegetables.\r \r For a sweet finisher we had the mango rice with Thai iced teas. It was a great way to end a meal. more

5 Frowns for Thai Smile 12/26/2007

I would have loved to write a review on the food, but the rude hostess with a bad attitude didn't give us the chance. We arrived on Christmas day without a reservation and were told by this arrogant condesending young woman that they weren't seating anyone without a reservation "either inside or outside." For a restaurant hostess, hospitality is everything. In the world of business good customer service counts and is measured by the bottom line. I don't think I will go back to try the food. There is no food that is good enough to warrant being treated rudely. We drove into Palm Springs and had an excellent meal at Thai House. Great authentic Thai food and excellent service. more
