Thai House Restraunt

I have never been so insulted in my life! When we first arrived tonight we were the only people in the restaurant. I place an order for the fresh spring rolls (vegetarian) and tofu pad thai. I was really excited about the food we ordered after I had read previous comments and tasted their peanut dressing on my side salad. Our waitress was very attentive until she brought out pork spring rolls. I very politely explained there was a mistake and we had ordered the fresh spring rolls without the pork because we do not eat meat. She then starts to argue with us saying no that is what we ordered and we would have to pay for them. I asked to see the menu and showed her exactly what I pointed to and read directly off the menu when I ordered. I was not upset that the mistake was made I was shocked and insulted that she still continued to argue with us. I was not going to pay for rolls that have pork in them just because she misunderstood us. I spoke to the manager and received the same horrible treatment from him, even though he was not even present when I placed the order. The whole time I remained calm and respectful but they still insisted we would have to pay for the rolls we did not and would not be eating! I asked her to cancel our pad thai order and bring me the check for the side salad. She brings back a check for 14.95 which was beyond ridiculous for a small side salad. I really wish she had not been so demeaning and rude to us because I believe the food would have been good. But seriously I have never experienced that kind of terrible service ever! more

The staff at Thai House are very friendly and professional. They have a delicious lunch buffet and have expanded their menu to include more vegetarian options and delicious things like pumpkin curry - YUM!!! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a fan of Thai food and for those who are looking to expand their tastebuds. You won't be sorry you tried something new! more

Their crab rangoon actually has crab. It doesn't taste like a ball of cream cheese in the middle of a fried dumpling like every other Thai restaurant in town. These are special. They do Phanang Curry like no other. When they went out of business this summer, my friends and I went on a mission to find a suitable replacement. It never happened. Most places use way too much coconut milk or sugar and don't bother to reduce the sauce/soup. Thai House's curry dishes are my comfort food. The perfect blend of savory and sweet. I hope they have the same management or at the very least recipes and cooks as the previous Thai House. Pros: Best Phanang Curry and Crab Rangoon in town Cons: Possible new owner. It's re-opening this month. more

we miss the old Thai house i went to Thai house last week but it was closed. The old Thai house had delicious food and the soup of the day was the best. more

The fact that the restaurant opens everyday is just perfect for a bussy mom like myself.I requested some Thai dish which is not on the menue, and I get it without a fuss. Love this place!! I have frequented many Thai restaurants, and Thai House at Largo Mall is one of the best. Try the Pad Thai or duck, the chef prepares these very well. The atmosphere is nice, I couln't stop looking at the authentic Thai decor. A little hard to locate, it's right next to the Albertson's in the Largo Mall plaza. I had a wonderful experience at the Thai House. The food was amazing, the staff was courteous and the atmosphere was perfect. They even told me how I could make Thai Iced Tea at home!
