Avoid like the Plague!!!!!! 12/15/2011

Second time I've been less than impressed!Won't get a third chance! First time 3 yrs ago, son had slight allergic reaction went to Texas Med because our dr office was closed already. After waiting 45 mins Dr. Murray came in room would not let me tell him about my sons history, and said he would be right back. After waiting in the room for nearly 30 mins I came out and asked where the Dr was. They told me they thought we had left already and Dr. Murray was seeing other Patients and we would have to wait. Really?!! Went home gave my son benedryl and took him to his real Dr the next day.\r Second time I waited at front desk to check in while staff members joked and used profanities after finally getting checked in of all the bad luck I get this Quack Dr. Murray again. He gives me Tramadol for headaches, and walks out on me again, while I'm trying to explain to him that I have congestion. His diagnoses was headaches. Over the next two days I developed fever and was too sick to go to work. I saw another Dr. Who took the time to listen to what I said and actually examine me. I had a sinus infection. This time I was given an antibiotic and a steroid shot. I felt better the next day and in a week was back to my self. Dr. Murray is full of himself!!! These are just the highlights. I have to many complaints about this Dr. to put here. Watch out!!!! more

We apologize that your visit to our clinic did not exceed your expectations. When a patient voices a concern regarding the care they received from one of our physicians, we take those concerns seriously. All of our physicians meet the requirements to practice medicine in the state of Texas. If you would like to make a formal complaint regarding the care you received, please contact the Clinic Manager at the location you visited. Texas MedClinic has an internal process for reviewing complaints regarding physicians and we appreciate your comments. We do hope that, regardless of your last experience, you'll visit one of our clinics when you need care for your next set of symptoms. more

Dr. Ottmers is WONDERFUL! 11/10/2011

My experience with Dr. Ottmers was completely different than the one described by MothertoEmily. I went to Texas MedClinic after waking up and feeling extremely dizzy. Dr. Ottmers was very attenttive and took the time to talk to me about what the problem was (benign positional vertigo or BPV) and how to correct it. In addition, I was able to talk to Dr. Ottmers about some issues I had been recently having with my thyroid medication (not related to the BPV or dizzyness). I felt completely comfortable and confident with his suggestion. I would absolutely return and recommend the Texas MedClinic to family and friends when you can't get in to see your regular doctor. more

Dr Ottmers Let My Daughter Go w Life Threatening Illnesses 10/21/2010

I took my 3-year old daughter to the Texas MedClinic in the Forum because she was exhibiting sudden, severe symptoms; vomiting, high fever (102-103), chills & shaking, loss of appetite, fast heartbeat, malaise, coughing. After he examined her tonsils, he proclaimed--""they don?t look too bad""--he had his nurse perform a strep test. The strep test came back negative. He nonchalantly passed us off with, ""it must be a virus"". He provided no explanation, further tests, and suggestions for care or prescription medications. He spent all of 1-2 minutes with her during the entire 2-1/2 hour duration of the visit. more
