Outstanding service and professionalism!! Richard and Angel helped us pack four very large vending machines for shipment and I could not be happier with every aspect of the process. The machines were located all over the county, so the very long day could have been a nightmare without knowledgeable and thoughtful insights of Mark Terry's crew. They arrived early and stayed late and only cared about the service we were receiving. Unbelievable company standards ... very, very happy and will always use Terry Moving for any sort of moving or packing!\r I, too, wish there were more stars!! I had to move a family of 6 in a 6,500 sq ft house that we've lived in for over 18 years. After 18 years with four kids, you start acumulating a lot of ""stuff"". Mark and his amazing crew helped us pack and move everything into their nice and organized storage area in Lake Forest within 2 days, not a small feat! Paul and Joe, two of the many movers (18 men) were very friendly and courteous, my son asked Paul in the middle of a busy and hectic move for a small tool thinking he would have one close by, but being always helpful, Paul stopped what he was doing and walked all the way down the street to his own personal car to loan my son his tool, all with a smile! We had expensive furnitures as well as a grand piano, Paul and his team wrapped everything professionally and moved everthing without single scratch to the furniture or the house. It was amazing watching these professionals do their job. Highly exceeded my expectations. My brother is moving next month and I told my brother not to use anyone else but Terry Movers! Thank you Mark, you made the whole process smooth and painless. We literally could not have done it without you and your amazing crew! I give you 10 star rating on a 5 star scale! :) more

My mom passed away in Oregon and we had to move everything out of her apartment pronto. I did an Internet search and called several movers. Mark returned my call in less than 24 hours. I explained the situation, we exchanged a few emails and the arrangements were done! Plus he was able to split the load so half was delivered to my house in Northern CA and the rest to my brother in San Diego. The movers were on time and professional. Having moved over 40 times, I have experienced many moving companies. I would rate Terry Moving and Storage in the top of my experiences, beginning from day 1. Owner, Mark Terry personally came and provided me with a written, on the spot quote. Of the four bids I received, not only was Mark the only to follow up with me, but his quote beat all the rest as well, and he threw in one month's storage FREE. I chose TM&S based on the customer service first and price second. With customer service so lacking in many companies today, I felt based on my first impression and follow-up, the quality of service had to also be good...and my instincts were validated. The crew of movers were prompt, friendly and very well trained. They handled all of my belongings with extreme care, packing and wrapping all to insure there was little to no damage...and having packed and stored 9 crates for 3 months, upon delivery of all, there was neither anything broken or damaged. They also were very careful to make sure they did not do damage to the interior or exterior walls, doors, etc when moving both boxes and big bulky furniture...They carried much of it up two flights of stairs and did it with such great attitudes. Job more than WELL DONE! Hats off to a great company and crew. I have passed on cards to both my realtors and others whom I know are getting ready to make a move. Take my advice...Save yourself a lot of time and just choose Terry Moving and Storage. You will be happy you did...They certainly exceeded my expectations on every level. Horrible experience. Do not trust a word that comes out of Mark Terry mouth. He will over charge and completely lie to your face. Very unfortunate because friends recommended him. They charged the full amount the day of the quote. Never refunded the money they said they would. Broke a large number of items in the move. Padded their hours by over 3 hours. And never followed through on items they said they would get back to us on. Very unfortunate experience. If you are looking for movers...keep looking. \r more

I just spent over $5,000.00 to do a move with Terry Moving Company. They put a huge dent in my almost new stainless steel refrigerator and admitted that it was their fault due to leaning up my table against it. The mover stated that it would not be a problem to fix and simply let the owner, Mark Terry know and he will send a claim form and fix it. It took Mark a long time to finally respond with an answer and he stated that their insurance company would only pay for $120.00 on a $2,000 some item!! Mark stated that I could call his insurance company and see if they would pay for more. He would not budge by paying the remaining amount out of pocket. I have never heard of such a thing with a large company. He is incorporated and has many locations. How does Mark explain these business practices?? I have never heard of a person having to buy their own insurance to protect their items that another company is responsible for in moving them. Due to their negligence, they should pay out of pocket. I will now have to take some time out of my busy schedule to take them to court. They also damaged my almost brand new dining room chair and end table. The movers must have been pretty clumsy with placing my nice furniture on their truck. I think I would have been better off paying a lot less with hiring the Starving Students Moving company. I think they would at least be more careful with my items and have better customer service, and pay for damages that they admit to doing!!!! At least I proof in writing that Terry Movers admit to the damages being their fault! I would highly recommend that one doesn't use them!!! Best move ever!!! This is the first time that I used this company. What a relief to all the stress I had in the past. They arrived early, were very friendly and professional.The two men were fast and efficient. They loaded all my belongings (2 bed 2 bath apartment) in an hour and a half. All the furniture and boxes arrived in perfect condition due to their expertise.-- even up three flights of stairs. All in all, I highly recommend Terry moving and storage. more

These guys were awesome, that's why I hired them again and again, becauseIi trusted them. The first time I used them, I was moving out of my 7000 sq ft home in Coto De Caza. I had HUGE, gorgeous, and extremely expensive furniture. They were on time, clean, nice, organized and were very careful to wrap up everything for me in blankets and were very careful not to drop or knock any of my furniture around. NOTHING was stolen. These guys were very professional. I also used their storage facility to store all of my excess furniture, and they treated everything with care. I had them move me 2 more times over the next 2 years and each time they were great and I was very pleased. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. more

I have moved maybe 5 times in the last 10 years. I am always a little nervous about hiring movers to move my home and all our precious belongings. Every move we had turned out to be a disaster. Workers complaining, damaged walls, damaged furniture, broken lamps, you name it. Well, I guess I paid my dues because the last move I had was with Terry Movers. When you meet Mark Terry to quote your move he shows up on time, well prepared and very professional. When he speaks, you believe him and know immediately that this guy knows his business and he is a ""can do guy"" His rates were better than all the other companies and he gives you the confidence that he is going to do the job right and take care of you all the way through the move. Moving day comes, they arrive on time, the high energy of his crew is contagious. They were real pros, big, strong and just like Mark, professional and patient. They had all the materials they needed including wardrobe boxes. That was a big plus. I was totally stunned how well they worked together and how fast they moved us. Everything was padded, shrunk wrapped and protected. They took the time to do the job right and they were fast!! Not one broken item, not one complaint and no upcharges or scams that many movers are so good at. I highly recommend Terry Movers if you want a pleasant experience with very professional individuals. I used Terrys Moving and storage in May 2010. \r What a horrible moving company.\r 90 % My property was damaged.The movers also left an entire bedroom behind.\r \r I used the storage for extra belongings. Guess what I was 45 days behind, and all of my storage was sold, WITHOUT any notice. When I called the owner MARK, to pay my bill and get into my storage, he informed me he sold my stuff at Auction. \r However my recent bill had no notification of any lien or Auction.\r When I ask about this and requested a copy of notices, he said NO and would not cooperative at all.\r \r I'm in the process of a law suit.\r \r DO NOT EVER use Terry Moving & Storage for Moving or Storage.\r \r Christi 11/10/2010\r \r more

I just wanted to let everyone know what a great job Mike did on my move. He was awesome here in Costa Mesa and my boyfriend (David) said that when he got there in Nevada, he was just as great. He was conscientious about how he handled all my stuff and even helped David make sure that everything was stacked properly in the storage unit. There needs to be a star rating that has negative stars. That's what I would give them! I can't begin to describe the damage done to our personal belongings. We hired this 'company' (for a third time...I told the hubby NEVER AGAIN after the first, but he didn't listen) to move us roughly 1,400 miles. To start, the group of guys were rude and condescending. They goofed off. They thought it was fun to play with light sabers for an hour or so. They were disrespectful to the rental home we were moving out of. The owner's brother was rude to my husband when he asked if the movers could go easier on the wood stairs with the dolly loaded with boxes. They broke so much stuff!! When the truck arrived at our new location (a day early, so that my husband had to buy a plane ticket to get here the following day! Extra $$ we weren't looking to spend) the movers hired to unload the truck (not affiliated with Terry and they were FABULOUS!!!) kept commenting on how badly the truck was loaded and how much stuff wasn't even wrapped that should have been. Terry company guys tore a 2 foot gash in the side of our two y.o. (very expensive) mattress, nevermind the 5 in. X 5 in. hole they put in the bottom of it. They didn't stabilize our washing machine and the drum came completely loose and disrupted the inner seal. We had to pay to have it fixed. I have several antiques (some small, some bigger) and put a note on top of an old school desk (think Little House) that it's not to be lifted from the top (they broke it last time and I've had it for 38 years and didn't even know the top CAME OFF!!) because it's an antique, etc. Guess what? IT ARRIVED WITH THE TOP COMPLETELY OFF!!!!! And the note still attached! I couldn't believe my eyes. I use Rubbermaid containers to store some things in the garage and when they came off the truck about 80% of them had shattered lids. Not just cracked, but shattered, like plastic shards in the items being stored inside. The unloaders said all the heavy ones were on top of light ones. Big surprise. I labeled all my boxes whether they were heavy, fragile, glass, whatever. Either these guys can't read or they just don't give a you-know-what. I'll put my money on they just don't give a you-know-what. Most of the damaged boxes were ones labeled fragile. Hmmm. One that I opened looked like it was drop kicked into the truck. Everything in it was broken...some items were literally shattered (glass) and of course they were antiques. Keep in mind that I wrapped and packed 95% of our belongings for just this reason. And I still get broken stuff. I could go on, but I won't. Just trust that I'm telling the truth and anyone else on here that is reviewing with a bad experience is too. CALL SOMEONE ELSE FOR YOUR MOVE!! ANYONE! HIRE STRANGERS OFF THE STREET. All of the damage done costs more than they charged for the move. Completely and utterly ridiculous. more
