KorgiBear Grooming businesses, no 6/3/2012

KorgiBear Grooming businesses, no matter which one, are noisy. Teddys Dog House is amazing and as a client I find it hard to believe that you forget that when animals that don't know each other, or the handlers, can be noisy and nervous - and that you had such a ""distressing"" experience. I have found the handlers to be very gentle and kind and would highly recommend Teddys Dog House to anyone looking for a professional groomer that truly cares about your animal. If your appointment got lost because it was on a post it note, that may be a mistake - but we are all human, and as busy as they get in there - hardly such a major fault that you found it necessary to bash them. I take it from your post that you have never made a mistake, which makes you one of the very very few in life. Julie and her employees are top notch. I hope you take the opportunity to try it again. Always my first choice! 12/1/2011

I have been taking my dogs to Teddy's for many, many years. First my dog, Sadie - when she was not so old - until she was blind and deaf at 16. Now my Henry is 5. Both dogs were rescues and afraid on anything clinical. The staff is always very caring to the animals and do a great grooming job. I read the negative comments and have not experienced any rudeness of unprofessional behavior. Although, loud and chaotic? Duh! Dogs are loud and chaotic. I don't take my dog to a spa, it's a groomer! more

Excellent Grooming Service 7/31/2009

I have taking my dogs to Teddy's for the last 5 years. I have 3 Shitzus and 2 mixed breeds. I have been using the same groomer (Heather) she not only takes her time with my dogs, they love her. Pros: Friendly - Professional - more

Not quite up to what they advertise 7/2/2008

When I made the appointment over the phone, they told me that they would treat my dog special. When I arrived, it was noisy and chaotic. They were not all that pleasant, but I took it that they were just really busy. They couldn't find my name in their appt book. Eventually they found it on a post-it (red flag #1). I dropped him off at 10am, they told be he'd be done by 2 and they would call. At 2 they didn't call so I called them and was told they hadn't even started on my dog yet and it would be another 2 hours (red flag #2). I went to run errands and at 3:30 she called and unpleasantly asked where I was since my dog has been done for an hour! (big red flag). I quickly went over there to find my super friendly dog an absolute emotional wreck. She was upset because ""he snapped at her"". My dog has NEVER snapped at any groomer - makes one wonder what she did. I quickly got out of there and discovered multiple nicks, cuts and razor burns all over my poor dog. Yea they treated him special all right - never again! Pros: convenient to NW side of town; Cons: not friendly to humans or dogs; bad cut; Poor communication; negative atmosphere more

Best Dog Grooming in Tucson! 6/29/2007

Absolutely the best place to take your dogs for grooming. I have 7 dogs and 3 are blind (one went blind prematurely due to a genetic defect; one was born blind and one was blinded in an injury). They are so patient with them. The youngest one that has never seen at all and is very scared; they take their time with him and work with him. Since he moves a lot, it is difficult for them to clip him perfectly but they do a great job. The people are friendly and understanding when we have missed an appointment. All my babies get great cuts and look and smell wonderful when they are finished... You do have to wait for an appointment (you just have to remember to call ahead) and sometimes it takes all day but it is worth it for the caring treatment they receive. Pros: Friendly people; great with dogs that have disabilites or are older and need special attention. Cons: Have to call ahead for an appointment but does not usually take more then a couple of days. more

Very unprofessional 3/28/2007

I came to pick up my dog after 4hours and was told he was not ready and then I was scolded for not combing him with a fine tooth comb myself. (Sorry that's what I thought I was paying you for!) I was then told to leave and I would be called when he was finished. No one every called but after another hour we walked back by the shop and my daughter noticed our dog sitting in a crate in the front waiting. I was charged $57 for a horrible cut $7 of which was termed ""difficult fee"" RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, OVERPRICED AND POOR CUT Cons: Rude, unprofessional, wait time longer then promised, overpriced more

Loving affectionate grooming! 9/10/2006

I heard about teddys dog house on (channel 13/ kold ) as they have been grooming for 4 years for free the animals that are featured for adoption on tuesdays tails. i adopted one of the dogs they groomed and when i went into the shop 2 months later they remembered my dog! She is a lab/shepard mix with a challenging disposition and they handled her with kid gloves, bathed and brushed her coat with a perfect sheen. She looked and smelled wonderful, just like the day i adopted her. Many of the groomers there have over 15 years of experience and many of them bring their dogs into the shop to socialize. Thank you teddys dog house for your service to the community and your love of the animal kingdom. you have a loyal customer in me.. Pros: expert grooming. great hours of operation..quality shampoos..attention to detail more

I TOOK MY DOG INTO TEDDYS DOG HOUSE. I HAD A FLEA AND TICK PROBLEM. THEY WERE VERY CONCERNED, KIND, AND PROFESSIONAL AND ASSURED ME THEY WOULD TREAT MY DOG, DAISY WITH LOVE AND AFFECTION. MY DOG WAS VERY NERVOUS BUT THEY TOOK THERE TIME TO CALM THE DOG DOWN AND THEY USED QUALITY ORGANIC SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONERS ON MY DOG AND BY THE TIME I PICKED HER UP SHE LOOKED AND FELT BETTER THAN SHE HAD IN WEEKS. THEY ALSO GAVE ME TIPS ON HOW TO KEEP MY DOG FREE OF TICKS AND FLEAS! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. THANK YOU TEDDYS DOG HOUSE. Pros: VERY KNOWLEDGABLE EXPERIENCED STAFF, GENTLE AND LOVING WITH DOG more

True animal lovers.... 3/30/2006

Having relocated to tucson in the recent months i was concerned about finding a professional dog groomer for my 5 dogs, from my shitzu to my retreiver. However upon finding teddys dog house I can truly say my dogs have found a new home. the groomers were knowledgable, professional and courteous and gave me pointers on how to keep my dogs cleaner and healthier living in the desert. the cuts were clean and smooth, with extra attention given to the nails and face areas. They are a full service grooming shop, and seem very busy. I like the fact that they are open seven days a week, even though I had to wait 4 days to get my dogs in but it was worth it! i would request julie or liz, who both have over 10 years experience. Pros: bright and clean, loving & caring, professional Cons: busy shop more

Poodle Grooming Sub-Par $/Look 12/18/2005

PROS 1) Groomers in the open(groomers behind closed doors always make me nervous) 2) Friendly environment/groomers appear to really care about their animals CONS 1) Had to leave my poodle for over 6 HOURS. It was a busy day, still a better ""arrival"" time could've been provided to ensure my dog did not have to endure the nervous environment for so long 2) Price=outrageous. I was charged $40 for a sissor clip and a whopping $6 for a nail paint. TOTAL-$46 for a 3lb poodle 3) The above price wouldn't have been so bad had I received an excellent cut-I DID NOT. There were uneven cuts in her coat, feet/face/ bum did not receive an adequte shave. Moreover, there was no ""poodle shape"" to her cut. MONEY DID NOT = GOOD GROOM Overall-I will not retrun. While they were nice folks; 46 dollars for a subpar cut is just UNACCEPTABLE. Pros: friendly, clean, can observe Cons: expensive, sub-par groom, Time spent-too long more
