Do not let them touch your computer 11/13/2011

My computer needed a new hard drive and when I got it back it was a MESS! My computer was reduced to a SLOW typewriter. Instead of replacing my hard drive they put in a new by shadowing the old. My machine was able to function at only a FRACTION of its original ability. I took my computer to Nerd Electronics and they fixed it at a reasonable rate. I have my computer back thanks to competent techs. more

Quality Computer Repair 8/25/2011

I recently had a small computer crisis in which my computer crashed on me. I have alot of work documents on the computer including a presentation I was working on for the next week. I first went into panic mode then got the sense to call Tech 2U. They sent out their Tech Rick shortly after. Rick was a lifesaver! He was able to get my computer up and running again and saved my presentation. I was so impressed with the quality of service I received at the price point. These guys know what they are doing, true computer repair specialists. more

Fast and affordable service! My IT team was away for a trip and we ran into an emergency at work. I called Tech 2U for service as they did a wonderful job for a great price. We love our team but Tech 2U did a great job coming through for my company in such short notice. Thank you! more

Tech2U 5/6/2011

I am completely frustrated and disappointed with service provided by Tech2U. They came to my house to install a USB wireless adapter. Because the tech was struggling with windows xp network configuration he reinstalled XP. In no less than 2 weeks, my computer wasn't working because they forgot to install the passcode for xp they reinstalled. After another 2 weeks i had to call them because of connectivity issues. Tech2U then had to come out again to establish connectivity. 5 days later, I had to contact them again because of the network issues. Today, I had to contact them for the 4th time in 9 weeks. After waiting 9 hours for them the tech showed up. He was not the same tech I had seen previously. (I heard the original rep that serviced my account quit) Regardless, when the tech showed he said he could not do repair my computer under the original contract because it had been longer than 30 days. However he did say that the same issue that existed originally still existed. ""a windows network issue"" Can you say, ""held hostage"" Do not use these guys. There techs, although nice, simply reinstall. They do not diagnose or fix anything and will not guarantee their work. more

stay away 2/24/2011

The Worst! First they will tell you that it will take only 3 days and you will be lucky if you have your computer back in 7 days. When you do get your computer back, check everything! Chances are it will NOT work. I took my computer in (A Sony entertainment model) and when it came back I could not play DVDs or watch TV. Took it back in and a week latter my machine still does not work! They will take your money but the only service you will get in return is something that resembles a ""cat-house special"". Stay as far away from this establishment they have no clue! more

Very happy with the overall experience of working with Tech Service 2U. I should have broke down sooner and called them to come and fix my beloved computer. Great company to do business with. Excellent Service! 4/22/2010

Please accept my appreciation for a job well done by your technician Travis. He installed a new monitor and checked the computer for any problems as he explained each task completed to be certain that I understood how to operate various functions. Also as the speakers from the old monitor could not be used he pulled up the ""Best Buy"" website that carried a compatible ""head set"" which would solve the audio problem. I purchased the head set today and it functions perfectly. Travis provided EXCELLENT service. Pros: Very Fast, Excellenct overall service more

Why I would use Tech Service 2U technician again 1/7/2010

I am what one might label as ""tech-challenged"", which means that I basically get confused and frustrated when weird things start happening to my computer. Trying to solve problems on my own by following some online tech guru's ""directions"" has seldom worked well for me, as the ""language"" they employ to assist me is beyond my somewhat meager comprehension. While, certainly, I know the basics of computers, I am presently not an ""expert"" in regards to fixing the numerous glitches that come up.\r \r Thankfully, they have businesses who specialize in helping folks in my category.\r \r This past summer, my computer began ""acting up"" every time I got online and after a few aggravating calls to AOL's tech support system, I was none the wiser about what exactly was causing the problems. I didn't want to risk fiddling with things myself and end up making the matter worse, so my husband and I both agreed that we would just have to spend the bucks and get a ""pro"" to come out and take a look.\r \r It took several calls to various computer service companies before we made our decision, primarily based on how much each charged per hour. Some of the prices were outlandish and we knew that anybody charging a huge hourly rate was probably going to make sure they found enough things ""wrong"" to justify hanging around a lot longer than they needed to.\r \r We chose Tech Service 2 U and were immediately impressed by the fact that the person who answered the telephone was both very pleasant and articulate. Believe me, I had spoken to people from other computer repair places who were curt, hurried and impatient with me to get to the point. The lady at Tech Service 2 U, however, was more than willing to listen to my clumsy description of what things were occurring with my computer. \r \r She told me that they had a fee of $90 for a technician to come out and diagnose our computer and, if we chose them to repair the problem, the diagnostic fee would be waived and the flat rate would come to $150, if the problem was easily solvable, which the majority of their customers' issues are. If the problem was on the more severe side, then the most they usually charged up to was $250. Considering what the other ""come-out-to-you"" repair services were charging, we made an appointment for one of their technicians to come to our home.\r \r The Tech Service 2 U technician arrived on time and was ready to tackle things immediately. After doing a diagnostic test, he surmised that a group of serious computer viruses was the culprit and not only removed them, but input some software into our system to help safeguard against the same thing happening again. Prior to that time, we had been depending on the so called ""security"" software by McAfee included with our AOL Security Edition subscription, which obviously had not been doing its job.\r \r The technician stayed for about 3 hours and our bill only came to the promised $150 flat rate charge. He made sure we knew exactly what he had done and was very patient with us when we asked questions. When we called the company later that day with an additional question, he called back as soon as he was available.\r \r We have used at least one other computer repair service in the past and it was, at best, only moderately satisfactory. Tech Service 2 U, however, was totally professional, courteous and knowledgeable.\r \r If any future problems arise with our computer, we will definitely put in the call to them.\r more
