Love Taylor's so much! Great product for a manageable price. The staff is attentive and polite and the wait is never too long. Parking is crappy when it is busy, though. more

With the Open Table reservation we were treated like lepers. We checked in 15 minutes before our reservation time and were seated 50 minutes past our reservation time. We checked five times with Anita, the owner, and were told each time that we were second on the list. Seven groups were seated before we were, including three groups that were the same size as ours. Two of those three groups addressed Anita about ""fitting them in"" because they were friends. more

I went to Taylor's last night for a friend's birthday, outside patio is nice, server was pleasant. Ordered a bottle of champagne and salads, all were fine. I ordered my steak MR and when it arrived obviously MW, I told the food runner that it was not cooked how I ordered it. The manager comes back with the steak I just returned and proceeds to convince me that the steak is MR. It was only very slightly pink on the inside and she blamed it on the fact that we were outside, so it did not appear MR. Fine, so I taste it and it is more like MW. I tell her that it is not, but I decided to say its tastes fine because I was through trying to arm wrestle with her. Fine, then I will not return. more

If I were to just rate the steak I would have given this place 5 stars. The Steaks are just as good as mastro's or ruth chris. They have the best rack of lamb I have ever eaten. The service on the other hand is very poor, very snobbish. I do not appreciate feeling as if I am not good enough to eat somwhere. That being said it does have great food. My husband and I went to have dinner on a Saturday night. We understood that we did not have reservations so the hostess started a waiting list. Not to mention we had to wait 10 minutes before she got off the phone and did not even make eye contact nor greeted us properly. We sat and waited for about 20 minutes. We were still calm and waiting for out table being understanding that we did not make reservations. However, another couple came in without reservations and found out that there was a waiting list. They threw a fit! and explained to the hostess that ""it is not acceptable"". Apparently the couple had called to see how long the wait was before but never made reservations. I heard the entire conversation as I was sitting right next to the hostess -still waiting. The hostess immediately sat them before us. When I went up and asked why they bumped them up before us, the hostess RUDLY looking down at me said "" You don't know the STORY"". Without apologizing she started defending herself and basically told me ""too bad"". My husband and I after waiting 30 minutes now decided to walk out because of their rudeness. A simple apology would have worked but obviously just because you're a STEAKHOUSE does not mean you have CLASS! In this economy if someone is willing to come to your restaurant whether you're an expensive steakhouse or a taco stand you should learn how to treat customers. Taylor's Steakhouse left a horrible impression on me and I will never go back! It's a waste of time and horrible service. Pros: That we left the restaurant without eating! We just ate here yesterday for lunch. The new manager slighted us a table for another party which came in later than us. She then lied to us and said they had reservations. If so why did she write their names down after ours? Guess she didn't think we saw that. Oh well that started us off on the wrong foot and from there we just kept stumbling. The waitress was rushing around and giving the usually kick back atmosphere here a bad vibe. We ordered iced tea and then had to ask for sweetner. She took our order and then forgot to bring it. we had to ask again when the salads came. I usually get the London Broil which is very good and I like it with the Horseradish Sauce. When it came there was just steak and a bowl of steak fries, no sauce . I had to ask for that next time she came around. I could swear that the plate usualy has a vegatable or some added color also. The Fish and Chips is my husbands favorite and usually very fat and plentiful but you could hardly tell the difference between the fries and the fish sticks, he also felt the fish was not the usual halibut that he's gotten dozens of times. He was very dissapointed in the whole experience this time and we hope it was just a bad day for them,not the new management. Pros: Usually a top notch experience with great food and service. The bar has a tremendous atmosphere. We call in regularly for a glass of wine and end up staying for a bite to eat - Chui, the barman is at the top of his profession and knows how to look after his regulars. If you want to sit at the bar to eat the blue cheese Molly Salad with a baked potato is great Otherwise be prepared to book well ahead of time, or wait at least 30 minutes for a seat. When you get the food you won't be disappointed though it is good rather than great (except for the Prime Rib which is excellent), and if you have a vegetarian in your party forget it. The seating hostesses can be sullen and peremptory in their approach. Unquestionably the attraction is the atmosphere in the bar, the quality of the bar staff and the consistency of the food. We've eaten at Taylor's dozens of times over the past four years, and they never disappoint. We have brought along several of our friends and out-of-town guests. Whether we're having a romantic evening for two, dinner with another couple or hosting a larger gathering of eight people, we have always had a wonderful time. The cozy ambience and attentive service, the GREAT steaks and spot-on martinis all add up to a delightful dining experience. more

I was very disappointed when I went here. It took forever to get seated. The waitress who served us didn't get my order right, she was very slow and very rude! Dim lighting and comfortable furniture does not make up for substandard service! I was so disappointed with my dining experience that not only do I vow never to eat there again, I will do my best not to let my friends make the same mistake! Very relaxed atmosphere, and the bar seemed like a fun place to hang out for a drink. The iceberg lettuce salad was drenched with bleu cheese dressing and my steak was a tad over medium rare, but I enjoyed the meal overall. Pros: classic steak joint Cons: overcooked meat more

Convenient parking, comfy booths, nice dark interior, friendly staff.... BUT my wife and I both ordered our steaks (she had the coulotte and I had the filet mignon) medium rare and they both came out as medium or medium rare. We were going to send them back, but the server sort of disappeared around this time. Should have done it anyway -- it's our own fault, but still, sort of a pain to have to deal with. I'd go again, but will be sure to have the server wait while I make my first cut. Good prices, decent beer selection, small-town feel. more
