Tatum Ridge Internal Medicine

The four physicians at Tatum Ridge Internal Medicine are caring and wonderful Board Certified Internal Medicine physicians. As their Office Manager, I can say that their billing practices are legal, honest and ethical. The grievance that EG filed with the Board was immediately dismissed and closed since the grieveance related to a Sonora Quest invoice that HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH TATUM RIDGE INTERNAL MEDICINE OR ANY OF THE FOUR PHYSICIANS. I attempted to assist EG with her Sonora Quest billing and as it turns out the balance due for her labwork was the portion that her insurance company applied to her deductible. There was no ""double billing"" on the part of Sonora Quest or Tatum Ridge in EG's case. What a shame that the first thing that some people think about physicians is that they are trying to ""rip them off"". What a gross misconception! I guess that goes hand in hand with the generalization that doctors all drive Mercedes! Again, what a shame! more

This outfit had the nerve to ""double"" bill my insurance inconjuction with their Sonora Quest Lab onsite. They coded my bill for a new patient office visit, then added a secondary service for the lad instead of appropriately using the advanced codes for an office visit with lab work. As a result my insurance company is trying to get this straightened out & has a formal grievance opened. In the mean time I'm left with $150 lab bill & headed to collections because Lisa (the billing person at Tatum Ridge) says ""I don't handle lab billing-can't help you, sorry"". This I find odd since my first attempt to fix this she jumped right in and said she would handle it. If She doesn't bill for the lab, how did it get submitted with the office visit?? Beware of labs in doctor's offices, they are always trying to make a few more $$ so the docs can buy a new Mercedes or two. Pros: The doctor was very nice & concerned Cons: The billing staff-LISA, is horrible. No service to comment on. Fraudulent Billing practice more
