My wife called and talked to the manager as we wanted to make sure a belly dancer would be there. The manager told her he was working on it, but there shouldn’t be any problem as he had a big party coming in around 8. Per his recommendation, we made a reservation for 7:30. We stood at there and waited about 5 minutes before we were even noticed by the hostess. She told us she would be right with us but took another 5 minutes before even doing anything. Upon being seated, we sat for 20 minutes and not one person even acknowledged us with a hello, or an excuse on being slow. After finally saying something, someone came to our table and apologized for only have 2 people on staff and being behind. The four of us had already decided we should leave but wanted to give it one more chance. One of my friends asked for suggestions, as a new person to the restaurant, and clearly stated anything but lamb. The waiter told him he suggested a particular lamb dish. After telling him the second time, the waiter then suggested a feast for 4. We told him that nobody wanted the same dish, and to recommend something. He then pointed to the lamb again and even one more time after that. At that point, we told him we were done and would leave, and he was rude and just walked away. They may have good reviews and food, but anyone that has run a restaurant knows how to treat the customers and how to properly staff a restaurant for a holiday weekend. I will NEVER go there again and steer anyone away. We had ½ hour invested to just get water poured. His loss as we went and dropped $150 at another restaurant right around the corner. more

Tasty if slightly overpriced dining option in Silver Spring. The restaurant is in the mall, so it feels a bit odd to be there after everything else has shut down, but they get plenty of business. One of the specialties is the bastilla, veggies and meat (or sans meat) wrapped in phyllo dough and covered in powdered sugar and cinnamon, was pretty tasty overall. The menu and décor make it an interesting enough place to be a solid date option, just don't sit anywhere near the ""stage"" if you intend to have a conversation with your dinner partner. more

We have dined here twice now. The food is good, but the restuarant is overpriced, particularly on holidays. We went there for dinner on Valentine's Day, which isn't really even a holiday. We paid $70.00 for the fixed holiday menu and received very little food for that price. The menu included chicken, and we received one piece of chicken to be divided by two people! The mint tea was excellent, but it was only a "taste," not a cup. If money isn't a concern and you don't have a big appetite, you can eat here; otherwise, forget it! more

I walked in and was not promptly seated i stood for a good 5 minutes then i had to go find some one to seat me, the water needed to be filtered one, two our server ignored us we did not get our food for an hour and that was after i asked for the check (weird asking for the check before even getting the food) server made sure the food came befroe he gave me my check (another 20 min) so i would have to pay, by then i had lost my appitie and the server got into it with my husband and said well dont come back then if you cant wait for you food, and cursed at him. I have never had this bad of service not even at mcdonalds!! i dont no suggest anyone go here!!!! more
