I live in NJ and was in town for my parents' anniversary party. I found good reviews online so made an appt with Lydia to have my hair styled. I was a bit apprehensive based on a bad experience I had the last time I had my hair done while on vacation. I was very happy with my choice this time. Lydia understood exactly what I wanted, and my hair looked fabulous for the party. I highly recommend her and the salon as a whole. more

I wanted a salon closer to home and tried several before going to Tara Burroughs. I made an appointment after reading the reviews. I have short hair and expect it to still look a little different every time I leave the salon. Kim did a great job with the color and Lydia with the cut. Both took the time to talk to me and get a feel for what I wanted and my expectations. The color has lasted well and the cut has been easy to work with. more

Tara Burroughs is a top notch salon. I'm new to the area and was a bit nervous choosing a new salon. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at ease from the moment you walk in the door. Lydia is awesome, she did a great job cutting my hair and Kim did my color and it's amazing. I've had many compliments on the cut and color and would highly recommend this salon. more

Lydia is the BEST!!!! This was my first time visiting the Tara Burroughs Salon but it will not be my last! I have received so many compliments on my new haircut. Not only does Lydia give you an amazing cut but she also educates you on how to style your hair, what brushes to use, products that will work best, etc. I had such a great experience that I made another appointment for her to color my hair this afternoon! more

Great salon with very knowledgeable 6/10/2012

Great salon with very knowledgeable staff. I had my hair color touched up, highlighted and a new cut. Kimberly does a terrific job on the color and hi-lights. I went in wanting a total new cut that would be easy for me to take care of yet stylish & sassy. This was Lydia's second time at cutting my hair as she is new to the area. I told her to do her thing.....she did an outstanding job!!! These women do a terrific job!! I couldn't be anymore pleased. I've been told that with the cut & color it has taken years off of me :-) This salon is top notch, staff and owner are very friendly. more

Great Value, Great Service 4/23/2012

I have been putting off a hair cut for a while and finally decided to try Tara Burroughs Salon. I was nervous about a new stylist. Trust me I have had my share of bad experiences in the past. Lydia did a great job, and I will definitely be back to see her.I appreciate the approach she took to making me feel comfortable and very impressed on how well she listened and interpreted the cut I was looking for. Overall good value for the service. 4/10/2012

A convenience factor instead of driving to Buckhead Salon. I really think Tara has got a great eye for what looks good style and color wise. I have been impressed with the warmth and friendly staff. Not to mention the art for sale on the walls are quite a deal! more

most professional women! 1/18/2012

All of the stylist are up to date on what is hot and what is not! As a mother of three, I am not so it was great to listen to all of their advice. They were so friendly and warm that it is really like walking in to visit with old friends. I have permanently switched from a Regis hair salon to Tara Burroughs Salon! And I absolutely love Whitney Thacker who gave me my first amazing cut and color! more

What a salon should be 1/18/2012

Going to Tara Burroughs Salon is always a pleasant experience for me. Whitney is my stylist (I highly recommend her!) and she is a master with hair color. I have asked her to do everything imaginable with my hair and she delivers every time. My hair always looks exactly like what I've asked for. There are never any surprises. But what really makes this salon stand out is the customer service. The conversations always pick up right where we left off the last time I was there - I feel like they are my friends! Every time I leave Tara Burroughs I think I look like a million bucks. If you haven't been yet, go see for yourself! more

Not good, not bad 1/17/2012

I wasn't that impressed with this salon. After seeing so many great reviews, I was convinced I was going to get a fabulous haircut. Instead, it was just ok. I also didn't really like that they send out emails requesting a Citysearch review in exchange for a discount on the next haircut. Although the email doesn't specifically request a positive review, it still encourages people to do that in order to get a very cheap haircut. I actually know a friend who did this just to get an extremely discounted haircut and then never returned again since this friend was also not really impressed. It makes me wonder how many of the reviews are skewed since I did not have the same great experience the other reviewes had. more

Great Salon! 1/13/2012

I live near the salon but never went until I decided to look it up on the internet. I read the reviews and decided to get a haircut and partial highlight from Whitney. I couldn't believe that she got the exact color I wanted for my highlights! She also did a great job on my haircut. I will definitely be back to see her again. The salon is also very conveniently located off of Medlock Bridge Rd. near State Bridge Rd. intersection. more

Great haircut and color! 1/7/2012

I found Tara Burroughs Salon online and made an appointment for a cut and color and happened to get Whitney for my appointment. I was desperately in need of an updated cut and fresh hair color - she did a wonderful job. I was able to keep the style and shape on my own after shampooing (not typical!). She was attentive and the price was less than I anticipated. I'm going back! more

Definitely Worth a Visit 12/10/2011

I recently had my hair cut by Tara after having seen Whitney for cuts and color before, and I was extremely happy with the results once again. They always listen to exactly what I want to ensure that they provide the best service possible, because at this salon they take great pride in what they do and want their customers to look and feel their best. And for this quality, their prices can't be beat! I'll tell everyone I know to go there. more

Awesome Stylist! 11/15/2011

I first visited Tara Burroughs Salon back in October, and I will be back on Friday. Juline is awesome and my hair came out EXACTLY as i wanted it. I live inside the perimeter, and I tell all my friends that i have a very strict rule that i absolutely do not drive outside 285, but I GLADLY make the trip out to Alpharetta to have Juline do my hair. She's definitely worth it :) more
