From my very first visit to Tangerine, Renee has simply been fantastic. Having just moved to Reno from the east coast, I was a little nervous to have someone new cut my hair. She was totally understanding and took the time to explain that her technique might be different from my previous stylist, and asked me to trust her. Obviously, I did, and now I feel silly for being nervous in the first place -- she is an incredibly talented stylist, takes pride in her work, and I always look forward to our appointments! -Ron more

Renee is always on time and listens to my requests carefully. When discussing my hair, we determine the direction together. Her talent is unsurpassed! She is both thoughtful and talented. She keeps incredibly current in regard to color techniques and cutting trends. more

Love Tangerine Aveda! 4/7/2011

Tangerine Aveda Salon has the whole package. The staff is always there to help with product knowledge or provide a beverage. During my hair treatment I also received a head and hand massage. So relaxing and enjoyable. My stylist is Alexa and I highly recommend her. more

A Must Read For Women With Thin, Fine Hair! 4/5/2011

I was on-line looking for a salon that might be easier than going over to the lake and discovered Tangerine. I read the reviews and Alexa's name came up frequently with very positive reviews. I have very fine and thin hair so needed an experienced professional that would know what to do with my hair, and feel comfortable working on my hair. I must say Alexa's understanding and professionalism was much more than I expected. She clearly is an artist and really enjoys her work. That makes all the difference in the world for someone with hair like mine. The Aveda products are wonderful too! If you have hair that others might be afraid to touch, Alexa might be just the one for you to see. Everyone in the salon seemed so happy, clients and staff alike. Pam more

Alexa came recommended by a friend. She takes time to listen and get feedback from you. I had one previous cut and style by her and she asked how it was growing back in- if I wanted something done differently than last time. She gives a great scalp massage and hand massage. She is very friendly and makes you feel at ease. The salon itself is very relaxing and upon arrival everyone is attentive and offer tea, water etc. I got a beautiful cut and alexa took time to put rollers in it to show me what other styling options I have other than my usual blow dry and run. For $60, I feel like I got a steal. Traveling to Reno from truckee is all worth it. more

I have been going to Tangerine Aveda 3/29/2011

I have been going to Tangerine Aveda since I moved here from Colorado over three years ago. I have gone to 4 different stylists there, and have found each one to be very professional, knowledgeable, and talented. Currently, Lauren is my stylist. She is great. She is always cheerful and upbeat. She listens and goes out of her way to give me the best hair service possible. My highlighting issues can be trying as it is difficult to get my hair where I want it to be, but Lauren has been able to work with my hair and get the color right. I would recommend her, as well as Stephanie to anyone. more
