Excellent selection, lots of high quality stuff. Loads of fun to visit- an entire section of trains for playing with and gigantic stuffed giraffes... carries all sorts of stroller...

Worst

A little too pricey!

Poor quality and an insult to customers 6/9/2010

The quality of the toys here is terrible. The button maker I got for my daughter must have been sitting on their shelves/ storage room for ages. When I needed refills I found out they didn't carry them and then learned from the manufacturer that this toy had been discontinued a while ago. What happened 6 months later is much worse. I got a bunch of toys from the hobby department. Three of them broke from the first time my son used them and one of them was already broken when I opened the box. When I returned them, their response was "you have to be careful with them"- come on, are these toys or museum items? The sarcasm from the sales staff during the return process and the implied sexism cannot even be described in words. This is it for me. Never, never, never will I step foot in that store. more

How very rockin' that this place is several rooms of decent toys, a lot of which are educational. Their pricing was ok too, about market rate, I say. No insanely crazy markups. They gift-wrap and was able to offer a wooden block set my nephew adores and so he had one extra gift to open for his birthday. more

I'm happy with them, and happy there is another alternative to Toys R Us. Sad there is no more of that large toy store downtown though, I thought that was pretty cool. more

family run business that has wonderful items for infants up to older children. if you're interested in buying trains, this is the place to go! they have a discount sale on trains twice a year...once in the spring and then in the fall. the store also partners with many local schools to give back a percentage of sales to support local schools. overall, a fantastic resource in the community! more

A room full of planes. a room full of dolls, and I don't mean Barbie. A little crowded, but delightful. more

This store has it all! My husband is happy in the hobby department and my toddler is happy playing with the trains in the back or on the playstructures! They have everything and the hard to find stuff as well. They do sell the basic stuff but it is more expensive that Target. They have lots of toys to help with the imagination and outdoor play. We also had same day delivery! more

Talbots is a destination in itself. My toddler could hang out there and play for hours. They have everything from books, models, kitchens, art supplies, playhouses, bath toys, sports equipment, wagons, infant toys, etc, etc. It's truly a one of a kind place more

A toy store for ALL ages from newborn to adult hobbyist and bike rider. The basic toys tend to be a little more expensive than the chains like Target and Babys R us, but it has that old time feeling. It has high chairs, strollers, book, toys, feeding supplies, accessories, dolls, trains, bikes - you name it! It makes for a fun day. more

Great Toy Store 10/17/2006

This store has a 1950's feel to it - they have a great selection of toys: dolls, games, balls, cars, trucks, party favor type toys, etc., etc., - you can find most any toy you want and they do special orders - they have a large model toys selection - this is a GREAT store - the staff is friendly and helpful. more

From dolls to trains to baby items Talbots has the best selection. They carry toys you might not find at lets say target. They have a very helpful staff and will wrap your presents for you a christmas time. more

I love Talbots, they carry, bikes, trains, and all those hard to find toys. This store is always a life saver for me at Christmas time, when you can't find that right toy anywhere else. Can be pricey at times. more

Like the old days 9/27/2006

This toy store is like one out of the past. They have an extensive model selection. They also are the place to go if you are looking for more traditional toys. Although we were just looking for a certain "Little Pet Shop" animal and found it there. A trip to this store is like a trip to your past before the BIG toy stores. more
