Dr. Goldy will work your insurance company & your wallet over more than your teeth. His prices are inflated and completely discretionary (beware the ""I'll give you a discount"" speech followed by the form you'll have to sign - a discount on overpriced is still overpriced. You won't be getting a deal.)... \r
\r
But most importantly - his work is painful and poor. \r
\r
You'll probably need multiple visits for even the simplest of treatments -- (1) consultation, (2) x-rays, (3) cleaning, and (4) fillings... so if you choose him as your DDS, be prepared to spend a lot of time in the office. For non-routine work like onlays, crowns, or fillings, you'll pay out-of-pocket at a Beverly Hills rate to get anything presentable... but you'll probably have to return for 'do-over' - as Dr. Goldy likely won't get it right the first time.\r
\r
Dr. Goldy barks orders at his assistants and office staff, and ""mmmmmKay's"" his patients through their treatments. On a personal level, he is arrogant broaching on rude, and is completely unapologetic for the 1-2 hours you'll spend in his waiting room or the multiple visits you'll have to make. \r
\r
In stark contrast to Dr. Goldy, the office staff is actually very nice and effective (though you can tell that under their smiles and despite their ""Rude patients will be charged $10 sign,"" they, themselves are not happy with their boss). The hygienist is also very polite, nice and altogether thorough... but you may have a time of it trying to get an appointment, as she's pretty booked up. \r
\r
My recommendation? Do yourself a serious favor -- find another dentist - this one is really bad.
Pros: Capable Hygenist and Office Staff
Cons: Bad Technique, Ineffective, Painful, Costly, Arrogant, Unapologetic
