Do not go to this spa! 2/5/2012

Terrible experience. We received a voucher from a friend but the service received was average. The robes were too short. The men's change room had, first, no robes and (when we had to go back mid service due to service being a wrap then massage), there were no towels in men's change room and nothing to stop hair getting wet (shower hat or something) in the womens change room. They also did a weird ""candle lighting ceremony"" before the service started to ""set the mood"". My husband and I nearly burst into laughter at this and it's the first time I've ever heard of this in a spa. Service was very average - I've had a a better massage/experience at my chiropracter's office even 'though they don't have the spa additions (robes, etc). I would not return to this spa given how many lovely spas there are in Seattle that truly make people feel pampered and give a true escape (Pro Club, Avida Wellness, Nordstrom downtown, Gene Juarez, just to name a few). Having uncomfortable robes, average thereapists and no towels/robes when changing is just not what you expect of a Westin hotel (even if the spa and hotel aren't associated as I later found out) it's in the Westin so you expect Westin quality. The Truce Spa in the Bellevue Westin is letting down the Westin name/experience - BADLY! more

The Best Esthetician Ever 12/20/2010

Truce Sap is a peaceful and beautiful setting and Jacquline is the best esthetician i have come across in the 20+ years i have been getting facials. She is incredibly knowledgeable on the products (Eminence) and i always feel like my skin has been renewed after i have had a facial with her. No other esthetician or product has done that for me in the past. Regardless of your skin type i think Jacquline is equipped to give anyone a great facial. more

Best Spa 5/5/2009

I just wanted to pass on my thanks to Leslie, I stayed from Tuesday to Saturday of this week and had the good fortune to have two massages from Leslie. \r \r I've stayed in many hotels on my business travels but have never come across a messeur quite like Leslie, she really knows how to put a client at ease and more than anything, clearly enjoys her job.\r \r I hope that my business travels bring me back to Bellevue sometime soon, as booking an appointment with Leslie will be the first thing on my agenda.\r \r \r She's a star, I highly recommend her massages \r Thanks again\r Pros: Everyone at the Spa is Amazing Cons: Absolutely Nothing At All more

Massage 10/13/2008

I just wanted to say thank you for the great day today, My husband and I came to your spa this morning after our overnight stay at the Westin celebrating our Anniversary...we both got a massage. It was wonderful, I have had a lot of different types of massages over the years becasue of my scoliosis...and this was the bests massage I've ever had. Chris really knew how to make a deep tissure massage very relaxing and luxurious. My husband had a wonderful massage as well..and the spa was beautiful, clean and very peaceful. \r Thank you for helping us end the weekend wonderfully... I'm so glad we live so close, so I can come back again!\r more

Amazing 9/9/2008

When I lived in San Francisco I went to the famous spas . I can't say enough about the new luxury spa in the Bellevue Westin. It is a one stop pampering and a truly amazing experience, a dream come true. Pros: Friendly staff, quiet and relaxing more

BEST SPA ON THE EAST SIDE 7/14/2008

A well deserved indulgence Escape Package at TRUCE, this was perfect for revitalizing the body, mind and spirit. The beginning of the journey started with a candle lighting ritual, very beautiful. The massage was wonderful, with long massage strokes, immensely relaxing, the best massage I ever had. The facial products are state of the art that stimulate your body's rejuenating powers, the transformation of the skin becoming firmer, smoother and more youthful. While having an amazing manicure and pedicure I was served a snack with delicious water. The lounge is a must see, beautiful and very relaxing. Everyone at this spa is very nice and willing to make your experience very nice. more

Simple Luxuries 6/17/2008

I read the article about TRUCE in the Seattle Magazine and thought I would give it a try. Entering this spa puts you into relaxation, I was taken back to put on a custom made robe and then sat in an unbelievable lounge which brought such tranquility, the staff brought delicious cucumber water and I listened to the sound of water. I was at TRUCE for the Escape package, my massage therapist came and brought me to a candle lit room and gave me the best massage I ever had with a wonderful Thai aromatherapy. I was then taken back to the lounge where my esthetician greeted me and brought me in for a tropical facial, the products smelled wonderful, an amazing lime mist with a mango cream and pineapple enzyme. I was then taken to the manicure and pedicure room, no spa in Bellevue quite compares. The teak pedicure chairs with the beautiful colors made you feel like you were on vacation, the nail tech was lovely. During my pedicure I was given fresh stawberries, pineapples and a mixture of nuts. The very friendly staff returned frequently to make sure I had enough water. I then returned to the lounge where I relaxed and listened to people rave about there experience. It was the perfect day!! Thanks Seattle Magazine for the suggestion. Pros: A Haven Cons: I couldn't feel this forever more

Decent Spa but definitely needs improvement 6/7/2008

I saw all the great reviews on the spa and decided to bring 3 of my friends to have a spa day here. After the spa day, we have talked and all agree that overall, it had a good atmosphere, the staff were friendly and attentive and were not pushy on the sales of products. The massages were good, especially with the back scrub at the end. The facials were also good and the lead aesthetician was very knowlegeable. The manicure and pedicure was mediocre. \r There are some problems that no one that have reviewed this spa has mentioned are:\r 1) They are small, only 1 nail technician, and about 2 facial rooms. That affected my spa day b/c I went there w/ 3 friends expecting all of us to have the same treatment at the same time but that did not happen and no one even thought of mention it to me.\r 2) I called up the place to make sure we all had female masseus but one of my girl friends ended up with a guy massage therapist, how did that happened, I have no clue but good thing my friend did not mind too much.\r 3) No jacuzzi or tub and the changing facility was small. That's no really their fault and I heard they will expand so it will be a bigger facility which will provides their clients with more amenities.\r Pros: Free parking, atmosphere, attentive staff Cons: small facility, not enough staff more

Best massage! 6/1/2008

I was feeling so stressed out and wanted a massage right away. Called around and there is no appt anywhere. I never been to Truce but thought I'll call and see. The lady that took my appt was most accommodating, extremely friendly and was able to schedule me in with Savannah for the very same day. I have to say, Savannah is just amazing! The place is so relaxing, one of the best I've been to! more

Lovely 4/20/2008

I work at Lincoln Square and came over to TRUCE for a Jamu Detox Massage, it was the best massage I ever had. The spa is very peaceful and the people there are incredibly nice. I had such a wonderful experience, after the massage I was given an herbal tonic drink which was delicious. Definitely try out this spa there is nothing like it around. more

KEVYN AUCOIN IN BELLEVUE!!! 4/18/2008

I am a huge Kevyn Aucoin fan, have had and use all his books and products. No one else in the Seattle area has this makeup to use for touch ups, let alone sell. I'm so glad I don't have to wait to get into an area where there is a Neiman Marcus!! Try to get in to see one of the makeup artists and get your face done, trust me it's the best! Pros: Great location, the smells are fantastic, and of course Kevyn Aucoin Cons: That it didn't open sooner!! more

A Hidden Treasure! 4/17/2008

When you travel alot it's very hard to plain last minute things, like keeping up with yourself! I was staying @ the Hyatt in Bellevue and asked the concierge where to go to get a quick facial and maybe a wax, and they recommended Truce. It's beautifully decorated and everyone was extremely friendly and accomidating. I had a great massage and wax and went back the next day for a quick polish change! more

A New Experience 4/14/2008

Anyone looking for the ultimate in rejuvenation and relaxation will find the perfect escape at TRUCE. Upon entering the spa you feel the tranquility, you are taken back, given a custom beautifully made robe, brought to a meditative louge where you receive delicious hot tea or lavender water. When the massage therapist brings you to the treatment room expect a candle ritual allowing you to light and let go anything that might be on your mind. I then had an unbelievable Javanese Lulur Romance Ritual. The smells, sounds and experience was certainly a ritual I won't forget. My skin felt so incredibliy luminous and I loved the Balinese Massage which also fell in the catorgory of rituals, I was then taken back to the sanctuary while I melted in the louge chairs until Tatyana came to get me to soak my feet in a whirlpool while I lounged on teak chairs.\r A perfect day and perfect indulgence. more

Best spa in Bellevue by far!!! 4/9/2008

I'm not really a ""spa guy"" but my girlfriend really wanted a spa day, so I did a little research and found out about Truce. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They also had a wonderful relaxation room and brought us cucumber water. Our massage therapists Chris and Savannah came and took us back to the couples massage room. They made the experience really special and the massage was probably the best I have ever had. Each therapist addressed our indivdual needs and really focused on areas that were tense or sore. My girlfriend started talking about coming back for facials and pedicures, and I had such a great experience I may even join her! Highly recommended place, a must in Bellevue! more

Wow! What a great experience 4/9/2008

Fire and Ice....it's a must! My friend told me about her unique facial, and I visited the website to check it out. Just looking thru the webpage was relaxing. I've never had an ""organic"" facial before, and I was a bit skeptical if it was as effective. I saw the results instantly! My esthetician Allison walked me thru everything and was so knowledgeable about the product and how it would help my skin. She put on a paprika mask and then massaged it with one hot hand and one cold hand, it felt wonderful! She recommended some products for me and they are working so much better then anything I have ever tried. I still get compliments on my skin even a few weeks after my service. Thank you Allison and I'm looking forward to booking my next appointment! Pros: Friendly knowledgeable staff, very relaxing atmosphere and really unique treatments Cons: The parking lot was a bit confusing, I ended up in Lincoln square but it was still easy to find more

Best Facial I've ever had 4/8/2008

I hadn't had a facial in a long time and decided to treat myself. A friend told me about a new spa in Bellevue, Truce Spa in the Bellevue Westin. I went and had a facial with Rachel. It was the best facial I have ever had and am looking forward to doing this again very soon. The experience was so wonderful and relaxing that I will come back again and again and will probably try some of the other services they offer- like massage. This is a MUST EXPERIENCE! Pros: Fabulous way to relax and pamper yourself more

Relaxing atmosphere, Amazing massage! 4/8/2008

I recently visited this spa while staying at the Westin for a work conference. My massage therapist Chris was out of this world. He's increidbly professional, has an amazing touch, and a great commuincator to make sure you get exactly what you want. I have never felt so comfortable and cared for. Truce will be a part of all my visits to the Bellevue area from now on! Pros: Great relaxation room, friendly staff, ambience, I also liked the ipod in the room! Cons: That there is nothing like this in my hometown! more

Wonderful new spa 4/8/2008

I heard about Truce from a friend that works at the Westin Hotel in Bellevue. He told me that his massage therapist Lesley was who I should see. The very first thing I noticed is that there are no hair dryers, or loud music, or the smell of acrylic nails...which I think is VERY rare in this area. The whole place was quiet, and serene. And now I know why my friend recommended Lesley. She was very knowledgeable, and had a fantastic touch. She was very attentive to what I needed, and walked me thru every question I had. She even allowed me to pick my own massage oil, from a variety of fragrant organic oils. I will definately be back. Thank you truce! Pros: No hair dryers, quiet atmosphere, relaxing ambiance, attentive service Cons: Make sure to park on the 4th or 5th level of parking, otherwise you end up in Lincoln Square! more
