Poorly organized, with little to no communication. Our field was canceled becasue they ran over their time allotment and we were routed to another field 30 minutes away. The price you pay is high and there's s not much organization. I tried contacting Danny, the CEO, many times and to no avail. There are more concerned with just getting your dues then providing you with a great sports league. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/20/2013

If you are a new resident in the area looking to sign up for a recreational sport, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TRI SPORTS! This club is an absolute joke. I signed up for Raleigh Elite softball and how the process works is they sign you up as a free agent then they never go forward with putting you on a team. They are also terrible at responding to emails so expect to get headaches from that as well. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 4/11/2013

Poorly regulated. Games are not re-scheduled when cancelled so you do not get what you paid for, people from trisports are not there to set up before games start, no one ""refs"", you can sign up to play at one location and be sent 40 minutes away for half the games, and you get no notice hardly of when the games are before the league starts. I would recommend finding a professional company to play for if you want organization, consistency, and to get exactly what you paid for. more

PLAYERS BEWARE! 4/10/2012

After looking at the website I thought this business had a lot to offer. After my experience with them I must say they aren't much of a SPORTS league. There is NO organization what so ever, they can't even get enough teams to form leagues, after spending a month putting a team together, getting a sponsor, spending money on equipment, practice fields, purchasing uniforms and having them screen printed I was told there wasn't enough teams to play in the league. This was 2 days before our first scheduled game! I mean they had months to find teams. Not to mention there was no correspondence from them at all. Even after we payed the deposit which was supposed to ""INSURE"" a league to play in. Never heard from them unless i called or emailed and even then i was met with vague answers and false promises. If you want to meet people and dont care about actually playing a sport which seems like what most of the positive reviews are about on here then fine. But if you are looking for a actual SPORTS league and could care less about meeting people then I suggest find a legit city rec league because this company seriously lacks organization. more

Best of the Best! Great Club! 8/9/2011

Didn't know ANYBODY in town and Tri Sports was an immediate social life and IM league for me. Went on a tubing trip and to parties and played 3 nights a week. Soon I had a great group of friends. Really happy with my experience. Disregard any negs below. The info and schedules are sent to you and posted to the website people; show a little initiative and check your spam folder if you can't find it. They do sell out quickly though, but the refs are better than you'd expect from an IM league. Some calls go ""against"" your team and some go ""for""' your team. That's sports. No better place to get plugged in and have fun! Best Club in the Triangle! more

Met AWESOME People...Had a BLAST 2/18/2010

Played this past fall and playing DODGEBALL currently. That's right DODGEBALL....Tons of fun... Pros: get to meet folks and it's not all about ""WINNING"" Cons: the weather doesn't cooperate! more

HAHAHA....AWFUL 5/17/2009

I've played with TriSports for a few years now and every season walk away even more disappointed. I'm not sure where to even begin. The organization is awful. Typically leads to not enough fields reserved and overbooking sports. You don't get a schedule until the day before your season is supposed to begin. Flag football teams pay $475 and basically get a flag belt and a field. They don't have refs, but instead a ""field supervisor"" who is never paying attention and refuses to make any call, i.e pass interference, out of bounds, etc. Often games are scheduled late in dusk on fields with no lights. When you try to call or email you always get no reply. I seriously could keep going on and on. Pros: Pretty much it for recreational sports Cons: Poor organization and communication more

Great Club, poorly run 1/11/2008

Although the club is awesome and the people who participate are wonderful, the club itself is very poorly run. Thing are not done in a timely manner, often we don't get information until the day of an event. (sometimes I can't even show up at a game b/c I don't know when it is !) Again, this is a great club, but not if you are a planner who wants information up front! Pros: People who participate are wonderful Cons: poorly managed more

A great group of people! 4/30/2003

When I tell friends in other cities about the activities that TriSports is involved in, they want to find something like it in their area. You can do as mush or as little as you want - it's up to you. Danny does a great job of offering a variety of activities so there really is something for everyone. Play a sport, go on a road trip, or just meet up with the gang for happy hour! This group is active enough to keep you involved, and flexible enough for you to make it what you want. Every city needs one! more

2worlds 4/30/2003

A great way to meet new people. You get the best of two worlds, sports and socializing with interesting people. more

Fun Sports Leagues 4/29/2003

The Tri-Sports leagues offer fun sports in a social setting. If you're looking for a little competition in a sport you can never find enough people to play, or a fun group to enjoy happy hour with...Tri-Sports is it. I hadn't played flag football since school, and it was a blast. I also tried Sand Volleyball & Ultimate Frisbee...really easy to join any season. Hope to see you out there. Pros: Fun, Easy to join, Inexpensive more

A great match! 4/28/2003

Knowing few when I moved to the Triangle, I've since acquired a great group of friends, been white water rafting, skydiving, SCUBA certifed .. even joined a kickball team. If you're looking for a good group of people to share sports & brews with .. this is your group. Pros: Great people, Fun events, Variety of activities Cons: No time to do it all more

Trissports 4/28/2003

The best aspect of Trisports is the many different kinds of activities it offeres - sports leagues, day trips, weekend trips, social gatherings, parties, just a ton of different activities. All you need to do is sign up, everything is really well planned and thought out. When work takes up too much time to plan trips and sports, trissports has it covered. Pros: many activities, easy to get involved, great people more

Great ride 4/28/2003

Tri Sports has provided me with several venues to play -- on and off the field. It's been a great way to meet people and given the me thrills of skydiving and white water rafting. I recommend Tri Sports to my friends and any newcomers to the area. Pros: inexpensive, options, great people more

Best Social Club for Active Professional 4/27/2003

I have been in other Sport Social Clubs in other cities and I have to say Tri Sport is the best run of them. I am never disappointed by the organization and creativity of its staff. I would recommend joining to anyone looking to meet new people or have recently moved to the area and are looking to get involved. Pros: Friendly members, great staff, well organized more

Excellent and Fun 4/26/2003

TriSports is an excellent group! It's a great way to meet people, and get some exercise. The staff is great! The members are competitive, but have great sportsmanship. There is a sport for everyone. I would recommend to anyone! more

Two Thumbs UP! 4/26/2003

Tri Sports is the best organization in the Raleigh for young professionals. Danny and the Tri Sports team go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that a good time is had by all. Weather you are playing in a volleyball league Wednesday evenings or shaking what your mama gave you on Saturday night; a damn good time is guaranteed. more

Great People, especially if new to town 4/26/2003

I've been involved in Tri Sports for about 5 frisbee seasons now. Besides sports, they have a lot of other things as well. Being new to the area when I first joined, it was great to meet other people and socialize, as well as get some good exercise! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Pros: Fun, Friendly, Inexpensive more

Great Sports 4/3/2003

The biggest thing I missed about college was IM sports, and Trisports does a good job filling that void. As an added bonus, we go to the bar after each game-- with all the competition! I've met a lot of great people, too. And, unlike IM sports, you don't need much athletic skills to participate. Pros: Friendly people, Variety of sports Cons: Only coed sports, Scheduling more

Definitely worth joining 4/3/2003

TriSports has been a great club to meet new people and to enjoy a variety of sports and social activities. I recently moved to Raleigh and knew only one person in town. Through TriSports I have developed a great circle of friends that just keeps growing. I am never at a loss for something to do! The staff is very friendly and accomodating and willing to listen to new ideas and suggestions. It's been a great experience. more
