I'm just very compelled to extend my gratitude to you folks, but especially to Sally Myrick.
Over the past few weeks, there have been a few violations caused by either tenant neglect or natural forces. Sally has come to the rescue and arranged for items to be corrected in a very timely manner and has communicated the results marvelously to all required parties involved.
For one instance, a few weeks ago our home on 1030 Allegiance was missing a shutter and the HOA was all over us and threatening with fines. The contractor that Sally found to attach a shutter, indicated that there weren't any shutters of that kind in existence so the only other option was to replace ALL the shutters on the home. That was going to cost around $500. Well, Sally toured the home and found the missing shutter located in the garage of the house. Sally directed the contractor to attach the single shutter in a timely fashion which allowed us to avoid any fines from the HOA and reduced the project cost by 90%. I still say, WOW!
Now a second instance of her work occurred this week. We were scheduled to be on the hook to pay a $50 fine (for starters) to the City of Charlotte (Code Enforcement) if the lawn of the unoccupied home on 1030 Allegiance, was not mowed by Monday morning. I found out about the due date yesterday, emailed Sally last night, and then today she told me she arranged for the lawn to be mowed today. Again, WOW!
My wife and I feel extremely blessed to have Sally on our side for managing these rental homes. We live in California so needless to say it is quite a challenge being responsible for these long distance homes. Quite frankly, if we had it to do over again, we probably would not go down this road of acquiring homes clear across the country. However, TR Lawing (starting with Kori Wing) has helped to ease the challenge as much as possible with the supreme property management skills. Sally has taken the service to the next level and she has been OUTSTANDING.
