Great Experience 8/29/2013

I could not open my mouth or chew food without severe pain but it wasn't a root canal problem. It was only my "bite". Dr Stern solved my problem quickly and three weeks later I can eat comfortably. more

Out of pain! 8/8/2013

I had left side jaw pain. I came in to see Dr.Stern because porcelain chipped from a crown on my right side. The pain on my left started after the porcelain chipped. He adjusted my bite and the pain was gone in my left upper jaw! more

Best dentist 6/2/2013

Dr. Stern has been taking care of my teeth for the past 10 years. He is highly professional and top notch in taking care of your teeth. He does not keep you waiting very prompt with a team of professionals that always keep you smiling. I am moving to the east coast but I will return to yearly so that I can stay the course with his care. more

Jaw Alignment 2/17/2013

I was playing basketball and got elbowed in the jaw behind my ear. I noticed that my bite had changed and came in to see Dr. Stern my life long dentist about it. Dr. Stern created a bridge for me to wear at night that gradually shifted the alignment of my teeth back into proper position. I am thankful for Dr. Stern and his wonderful staff for their continuous care for me and my teeth/mouth. I'm not sure what I'm going to do once he retires he's the only dentist I've had and I'll be 32 at the end of this year. more

great dentist 6/25/2012

When I first went to Dr Stern I had swollen gums and crowns on my front teeth that did not feel comfortable. Dr Stern treated my gums and replaced the crowns. My mouth feels great and my teeth look great. more

I Should Have Switched Dentists Sooner 6/12/2012

Dr. Stern pays great attention to detail. He is also gentle especially with the novocaine needle. I came to his office just prior to a trip to Hawaii since my previous dentist was getting on in age and had done some questionable work.As it turned out, I was correct about my prior dentist and Dr. Stern identified very quickly that I had a couple of teeth that needed some very serious repair. He anticipated problems on my trip and provided me with a couple of prescriptions. Sure enough one of those teeth went abscessed at the beginning of my second week on vacation.Upon my return, Dr. Stern did two root canals and crowned one tooth and filled the other. Very professional work. I wish I had seen him sooner as I would have enjoyed my week on the Big Island much better! more

My experience was iutstnToday i called Dr.sterns office out the local yellow pages, of southfield michiduring my initail call to exepress my complaint i was receied with professionalism and concern for the receptionist sandrai was given an immediate appointment. I have enjoyed receiving my dental care at Dr.Sylvan Stern 039;s office. The culture of the office reflects compassion with a tecture that embraces human care and concern. Whenever I arrive to a visit I always leave feeling refreshed, excited and ready for my next visit. I have several friends that visit this office. I love the entire staff. more

No Pain 5/15/2012

Wonderful work. Saved my mother 039;s life. She suffered on and off for years with horrible facial pain called trigeminal neuralgia. Head surgery, seizure medicine and strong pain medicine were suggested by medical doctors. We refused the head surgery. Recently a dental bridge loosened and the pain got worse. Another dentist wanted to extract and place implants. Dr. Stern saved the teeth and placed a new bridge. When he placed the temporary bridge the facial pain completely disappeared! My mother is eating again and gaining weight. Now the final bridge has been placed and it is as comfortable as the temporary bridge was. more

I originally needed 2 bridges and was lookIng for a competent dentist who would not charge quot;an arm and a leg quot;. Dr. Stern took the time to explain every facet of the procedure and fulfilled my highest expectations. Dr Stern has never disappointed. more

bite guard 5/7/2012

Life wouldn 039;t be the same if I did not meet doc Stern! He adjusted my jaw so that I can live pain free, something I never was able to enjoy since age 8!! I am 27! He gave me a perfect bite guard and got rid of my headaches forever, something multiple dentists from age 8 to 27 could not figure out! I no longer fear the dentist I look forward to going there! Genious doctor, I highly suggest you set up an appointment! more
