If I could give them a 0 star rating I would. Their DBA is TILA Mortgage. We started the process on November 1, 10. We signed our refi papers at the title company the first week of January, waited the required 3 day recision period only to find out the following Monday that they had lost their line of credit. Now they're trying to string us along. They told me that they would issue a refund check for our appraisal on 1/14/11, it's 1/26/11 and I'm still waiting. Ken at TILA told me once I got the check to take it to my own bank to cash it and not to Heritage Bank (the bank the check is from) I think I'm screwed!\r \r \r BEWARE! more

We recently refinanced our home through Sydion (DBA Arivian) Financial and were please with how it went. The loan officer was well-informed, not at all pushy, and explained things clearly and made sure we understood everything. The loan fees were low compared to our credit union and there were a number of loan options depending on how our appraisal came in. The estimates for total closing costs were right on target - they were knowledgeable about state laws and fees associated with them. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that the closing process took longer than expected due to ""staff restructuring"" - the delay cost us a couple hundred dollars in interest. Not a big amount in the long term, but enough to be frustrating while we waited. Overall, a less stressful process than I expected given our experience with past mortgage transactions. FYI, we are located in Portland and did business with a Sydion branch in Battle Ground, WA. more
